Does anyone know of a good person who does piano restoration work? My
g/f has her grandmother's old upright and it would be great to have it
in good shape again.

Hi Floyd-
My name is David Brown and I am one of the staff technicians in The School
of Music at UT. I have been a rebuilder /tech for 16 years and would be
glad to advise you about your grandmothers piano. Feel free to post.
Uprights are rarely worthy of a full restoration but some sensible
reconditioning may be in order. What brand and age is the piano? There are
other good shops in the area as well. Sorry for the commercial to the
list.
