WORK EXPERIENCE

_________
1995 - 1997 WebThreads, LLC / Image Communications Vienna,
Virginia
Vice President of Business Development

In this role, I held a position at both of these companies. Image
Communications was the parent company of WebThreads, the software
start-up. My task at Image was to build a section of the company that
worked exclusively to develop large scale business to business web sites
and to create partnerships with Fortune 500 companies. While at Image,
my team did over $6 million in sales developing sites for companies such
as IBM, Cable and Wireless, McLean Industries, Ace Hardware and the
National Association of Broadcasters. Our work with IBM allowed Image to
become a partner in their business to business web efforts. During this
time I was able to deliver contracts on 75% of IBM’s targeted companies
for the pilot program. This number more than doubled the efforts of any
of the other IBM partners.

At Webthreads, my role was broader. Image, the parent company had
approximately seventy people on staff, Webthreads began with only four
people and grew to fifteen within a year. My job included everything
from writing the business and marketing plans to hiring marketing,
administrative and technical staff. As our product entered into its late
beta stages, my role shifted to that of evangelist. A great deal of my
time was spent traveling around the country giving interviews to major
industry publications such as Information Week, PC Week, and many
others, more than sixty total. While on these PR trips, I would tie in
meetings with specific high profile companies in effort to have them
become early adopters of our software. These included Hotwired, Tripod,
Time, and Turner New Media. At various times, I would give presentations
to groups of publishers that were designed to educate them on the
possibilities of highly focused on-line direct marketing and e-commerce.
In the last months of my time at Webthreads, most of my efforts were
concentrated on securing a second round of funding and /or a buy-out.
The real triumph at WebThreads was in the fact that we were able to
position the company as a leader in the marketplace on virtually no
budget in less than one year. This was done by clearly defining the
product and showcasing its true value to our customers.

* Responsible for the start-up and day-to-day operations of innovative
Internet software company.
* Developed sales and marketing structure.
* Negotiated first-round funding of company.
* Company spokesperson interviewed by most major computer and
advertising industry publications.
* Built extensive network of strategic alliances in the area of web-site
tracking and auditing with a focus on its relationship to the needs of
advertising-based sites.

_________
1995 Internet Consultant Alexandria, Virginia
Consultant

On this project my role was to help EZ Communication (at that time the
fifth largest radio broadcast group in the US) use the web to create
on-line listener loyalty programs for each of their stations. This was
done by creating a site for each station and then giving away an
Internet account to any listener who signed up through the station. The
idea was to have the listener access the web through the station’s
branded browser thus creating cross-marketing opportunities for the
station and their advertisers. Shortly after the testing was completed
at the flagship stations, the company was bought out by Infinity
Broadcasting.
* Supervised technical development and planning.
* Created partnerships with major telcom providers.
* Planned marketing strategy and made personnel recommendations.
* Assisted in financial projections.

_________
1993 - 1995 Computer Services Group, Inc. Alexandria, Virginia
Director of Marketing

At CSG, my primary focus was on sales of proprietary on-line systems
(First Class) to trade associations and non-profits in the DC area. Our
biggest success was the PBS contract. CSG supplied the hardware,
software, training and design of the largest First Class systems ever
installed. CSG linked all 400 PBS member stations around the country via
VSAT. We trained the systems operators and provided on going support.
The contract was for over 1 million dollars.

* Developed marketing programs for hardware, software, on-line and
Internet systems.
* Involved in start-up of several new products and services.
* Extensive work in consulting and training for on-line and Internet
systems.
