Mike Ramos, 21 and Ashley Hutson, 17, need help caring for
Ashley, who is quadriplegic, and their 3-month-old twins.

http://www.austin360.com/aas/life/season/hutson.html

Let's get this straight.
Mike 19 and Ashley 15 crash Mike's car because Mike is drunk.
Mike walks away with no injuries. Ashley is now a quadriplegic.

Two years later Mike is now 21 and Ashley is 17. Mike thinks
it's a great time to nail his quadriplegic girlfriend (still a
minor) without protection.

The twins now enter the picture. Mike decides he needs to stay
home and watch the kids because his wife is "say it with me" A
QUADRIPLEGIC!

rag decides that these two idiots should be rewarded for their
Jerry Springer inspired antics? Meet this year's features

I nominate Andrea Ball (journalist) for bleeding heart liberal of
the year. As such she would receive the prestige of being tied
to a fire ant mound until she saw the error in her associating
being poor with being deserving. I'm sure there are more
appropriate and deserving individuals they could be promoting
than these two. What about some of Enron's victim's.

What was it the Man said? "Let he who is without sin cast the first
stone?"

You're completely missing "the reason for the season."

"In case some one of your brothers becomes poor among you in one of
your cities, in your land that Jehovah your God is giving you, you
must not harden your heart or be closefisted toward your poor brother.
For you should generously open your hand to him and by all means lend
him on pledge as much as he needs, which he is in want of... You
should by all means give to him, and your heart should not be stingy
in your giving to him, because on this account Jehovah your God will
bless you in every deed of yours and in every undertaking of yours.
For someone poor will never cease to be in the midst of the land. That
is why I am commanding you, saying, 'You should generously open up
your hand to your afflicted and poor brother in your land." (Deut
15:7-11)."

Merry Christmas, asshole.

I wonder if Ashley would like to be involved with our baseball team next
summer, we need a third base.

Since the Texans scored their last touchdown, Sparx Fligh saw fit to
opine:

Sparx, that's the Old Testament. Where did you get the Christian aspect
from? Because he wished you a "Merry Christmas?"

And calling an asshole an asshole is "angry" and "hostile?" You did
misquote him, you know.

I feel sorry for the kids in this story as well as all the stories in the
article series but the moral of almost everyone of the stories is:

Don't have kids you can't afford.

Why is that such a hard thing to understand? I'd love to see a non-profit
offer some of these ladies and gents financial assistance in exchange for
non-reversible tubals and vasectomies.

Well, I wasn't really quoting him. I found the concept of the "angry hostile
Christian" persona to be quite amusing, and invented a quote that seemed to
summarize what a hostile Christian might say. Sort of like "Jesus died for
your sins, you stupid fuckin jerk-off".
Or- " I oughtta wrap yer fuckin nuts upside your skull, ya jitbag. God is
Love."

Better yet, how about some of the hundreds of tech types that moved
here lock/stock and barrell only to be laid off.
Only ones working seem to be Asian, Eastern Idian and college kids in
associate or appretince programs.
75% of the names in Cirrus Logic's master roster is asian.
Many of these folks have been laid off and will have a sorry
Christmas.
I'm attempting to make do with 1/3 of what I made before with 100% of
the same bills and NO unemployment thanks to Adecco assholes.

Welcome to the New World Order.

I'm really amazed that people still buy the argument: "We don't have
enough techies, so we need to bring in people from other countries."
As you pointed out, there are a good number of native-born techies who
would seem to be evidence to the contrary.

And yes, companies are hiring recent college grads. Much cheaper.
Cheaper yet are outsourced employees. Why do you think GW Bush wants
the federal government to rely more on outsourcing?

lest we become unwitting victims of the darkness.

Speaking of nuts. Earlier, there was a some kinda Christian rally on
Congress and 6th. They had a huge sign with a picture of the world trade
center blowing up and the caption read "Where Will You Spend Eternity?"

I read a recent news report on that topic, to the effect that what
they're really talking about is offshoring, not just outsourcing.
Presented in the right way, that may prove to be volatile.
