I recently had the most wonderful experience, a flight in a powered
parachute. I have always wanted to fly, but the cost, complexity, and
the licensing requirements have kept me from living my dream. I wanted a
vehicle to enjoy a different view of reality and share it with my
friends and family. I didn't care so much about going somewhere in a
hurry, rather seeing the world from another perspective. I tried
parachuting, hot air ballooning, hang gliding, ultralights, but these
have drawbacks such as having to fly solo or needing a hangar or ground
crew. Until I discovered the Buckeye Powered Parachute. The local
dealer took me up for a demo ride and I was hooked. I finally found my
"motorcycle in the air". Leonard de Vinci would have loved it, and
probably would be a dealer!

Is it safe? The local dealer is an ex-pilot and an attorney. Even in
a 10 MPH wind, I felt very comfortable. Maximum speed is 30 MPH and you
can go as high as you want. The buckeye is so easy to trailer that I
imagine taking it to scenic areas and becoming an aerial tourist!

I would like to buy one outright, but I really don't feel that I could
use it enough to justify the entire price, so I am looking for partners.
If you are interested, please let me know. I'll be glad to discuss it,
get a video to you, and arrange a demo flight. I already have talked
with several interested people, but no comittments, yet.

I am curious. Tell me more! How much do these critters cost? What are the
licensing requirements/skills needed?
