WANTED: Notebook/Subnotebook ?

Where is a good place to buy a notebook/subnotebook PC-compatbile computer ?

I see the ads in the Austin Spaceman, but they are mostly related to desktop
systems.

Is the Dell outlet store a good place ? [ I have vague recollections of past
problems with notebooks ].
