There is a persistent problem in the food industry. According to the
FDA, the combination of two common ingredients produces a toxic, cancer
causing agent.

Sodium Benzoate is a common preservative. In combination with vitamin C,
it can produce Benzene, according to the FDA. And, Benzene is a known
cancer causing chemical.

A few years ago, this issue was big in the news and some articles stated
that soft drink producers would reformulate their drinks to address
concerns over soft drinks containing sodium benzoate and some even
contained vitamin C along with sodium benzoate.

Now, it appears that at your local grocery store there are many soft
drinks that again contain sodium benzoate. SEE the label of your soft
drink to make sure.
I looked at grape soda recently. ALL of the grape soda produced by
several different companies contained the preservative sodium benzoate.

Even Sunny D, the popular orange drink many kids drink every day contains
sodium benzoate AND vitamin C.

We are all exposed to cancer causing chemicals daily, but why add to your
risks by what you eat when its a non essential part of your diet?

Today, 1 in 3 Americans will develop some form of cancer. Consider how
many people you know who have had this terrible disease. You can reduce
your risks by making minor changes to your lifestyle. Years ago, cancer
was not the issue it is today. The reason so many develop cancer now is
due to chemical and radiological exposure.

Here is what the FDA says:

This prompted FDA testing that led the US Department of Health and Human
Services to report, again in an internal memo: "Benzene formation occurs
at part per billion (ppb) levels in some food formulations containing
sodium benzoate and ascorbic acid [vitamin C]."

Tracy12, Tracy12, where do I know this name from?

Aren't you the one who claims that capitalism is the best way to run
things and that the government should not interfere?
