I just got back from the SNEAKERS screening. It was great! There were
lots of people there and I found the movie humorous as well as thought
provoking. I enjoy movies that will spark a conversation afterwards. I wish
to thank Steve Jackson and his assistant Dana for being so good for setting
this up. Hopefully, although for some reason I doubt it, this movie will
bring the issues of the Information Age and cyberspace into the public eye.
I really don't see that it would I guess, however maybe it will get people
thinking and learning. Anyone who saw it, do you have any memorable things
you observed that you would like to share? My favorite character was the
blind man, Whistler. I also saw the Atari phone (coupler?)- I am not
familiar with the term...grrrrr- wasn't that type of device the same that
was the first thing taken from the Mentor by the Feds in the early 80's? I
don't know...maybe I am hallucinating. Anyways, it was a good movie.
