Very nice find.

It is a shame some of these freeways weren't built in their original form, though Brisbane is starting to fill in the gaps, and always been way ahead of Sydney when it came to having freeways connecting with each other.

The photos were nice, though I was hoping to see some directional signage.

Very nice document here, thanks for posting Sam!!

 

I’ve always wondered about the Rocklea overpass, but never got around to looking it up, so its nice to have that date on my list. This is only the second place I’ve seen the correct date for the first stage of the Western Freeway; everywhere else says 1969 >.<

 

With modern technology, my hope is that many more of these sort of documents will start popping up!

Awesome video. Some great old footage. The old signs looked better :)

I know there's a lot of detractors of the Riverside Expressway, but whether they like it or not, it's an important part of the Brisbane road network, though I think it'd work better if the connection to Hale St was more direct than it is now.
