You weren't there and neither was I. The lady was 100 metres away and didn't
see what happened
before she saw the kicking. The dog could have been bothering him, the man
may have been scared of being bitten and gave it a good kick. We have the
family's word only that the dog was no danger to anyone, the same family
that allowed the dog to wander freely. Perhaps the man didn't mean to kill
(lets humanise the animal and call it) Rocky and was simply trying make the
dog go away. Let's try to think of these things before lynching a man eh?

I used to live in a suburb where our neighbours regularly and illegally
allowed their dogs to go for a "run". One particular mongrel came into our
backyard, jumped up onto a table, forced it's head into our birdcage and ate
our 6 year old budgie. The dog had it's head stuck in the cage. I heard the
commotion and came out and saw the problem. I then proceeded to kick the
fucking dog all the way down our driveway and up the street. It felt good. I
wish i'd killed it.

BTW, I hate dogs and I *really* hate people who place them above humans.

Then why not hang around to explain his actions? Why leave it laying in

The dog got out on the friady and they spent most of friday looking for
it, it was a care animal for their sick child.

Yes a solid kick to the head is a good way to make a dog go away.

Here we go, you like to keep animals trapped in small cages.
If the dog could get it's head in the cage why couldn't the bird get
out, must have been big gaps in the wire.

Who placed it above humans? If a 2 year old child was kicked in the

Actually part of a post yesterday reminds me of you

4. You know your 'mates' by their online 'handles' rather than their
real names

If your playmates are called Hell Horse, titus, BiteMe and Cinderella,
if your best conversations are with quirkygirl, hypercat2002 and Be Kind

choose to tell your deepest, darkest secrets to, you really need to get
out more. And by that I don't mean you need to reach a wider global
audience.

Some people's preoccupation with their online activities sees them
withdraw from the real world, Campbell says. They become inept at
socialising face-to-face, but do it very well online. It has become a
particular problem in Japan and Korea, where the study ethic is so
fierce that the only escape for many children and teenagers is video games.

At this stage you run the risk of Fantasy Prone Personality Disorder,
where you believe in your gaming existence to the detriment of your
real-life existence, Campbell says. Sufferers withdraw from face-to-face
contact while fantasising about returning to the bliss of their darkened
computer rooms.

Each to their own.

Also that dog killer should be put in solitary and then taken out and
beaten each day by the prisoners.

That is all.

Hope that helped.

He only kicked it twice, unlikely he intended to kill it. Often you'll
get a dog who is like that, follows you, growls at you, you turn around
it backs off, then you start walking again and it comes up behind you
again. Had one dog damn near bite through my shoe when I turned my back
before I chased it off. Why did this dog not whimper off after the
first kick? Sounds like it continued trying to attack the man.

Sounds to me very different from the punks who intentionally tortured
and killed a kitten. Dogs are aggressive and dangerous off the leash,
kittens are not.

I agree with that. Dogs I hate but what's worse is irresponsible dog
owners who let these dangerous things out in public. Sure, cats kill
some wildlife but they can't maul a toddler. They're not going to tear
flesh if they get a hold of your leg. Dogs can be fucking dangerous,
and not just pit bulls and rottweilers (which should be banned).

All dogs are not aggressive and dangerous off the leash. Most dogs will
defend themselves when provoked or backed into a corner.

A dog's temperament is very much dependent on how its owner has raised and
treated it.

And if you think cats can't do damage to a toddler, you're mistaken.

Then I truly feel sorry for you. Personally, I'd pick one dog over a
hundred humans anyday. At least when a dog hurts you it's because of
fear or instinct, unlike humans, who wouldn't hestitate to hurt you for
their own perverse entertainment and satisfaction.

Exactly. And lots of dog owners are fucking idiots. Lots of dog owners
LOVE having violent and aggressive dogs. That's the problem. I've heard
these morons brag about what their dogs did to the neighbours cat or
rabbit or whatever.

> And if you think cats can't do damage to a toddler, you're mistaken.

I've never, ever had a stranger cat run up to me for any reason other
than it wanted affection (or food). Usually cats stay well away from
people they don't know. Dogs off the leash however will run up to you,
and they could want anything from "throw the ball" to wanting to bite
you. You won't know until it happens. Any unleashed dog can be seen as
a potential threat and if it comes near you, you have the right to do
what you need to protect yourself. Including kicking it in the face.

Why would you think this was made up? We've had dogs in

Not exactly - it would probably depend on the 100 people. 100 people
who recognise that all animals are living creatures and deserve
compassion and respect (and that includes respecting the fact that a
wild animal need to be left alone), then no. But 100 people of the
type who would come on usenet and boast about repeatedly kicking a dog,
then yeah.

You feel sorry for me? How about the families of those 100 people
> you let die?

What about the family who owned the dog you kicked? That dog might have
been some little kid's best friend.

So long as you have the cuddly canine to look at you cow eyed
> and to do your ridiculous bidding those 100 people can simply burn? Just

You just don't get that some humans have the ability to comprehend the
consequences of their actions and yet they STILL don't care who they
hurt. As long as it makes them feel big or gives them some enjoyment,
they'll do what they like. An animal doesn't have that ability - they
have no control over what they do, and will *only* hurt you out of fear
or instinct. Which is worse? Don't answer because I know what you'll
say.
There's no use debating this because it's obvious you don't get it, and
you will never understand the type of unconditional love that can only
come from a dog.

Don't get me wrong here, just because I hate dogs I would never just be
cruel to them out of the blue. My experiences with dogs over the years have
generally been bad. I put the boot in mainly to get them OFF our property,
to protect *my* pets. I know it's the owners fault they let them
out of their yard, made it possible for it to happen or simply let them run
free.

Animal cruelty is disgusting, but as others have said we don't have the
full story here. Certainly, kicking a dog in the head hard enough to
kill it is over the top, and a 2-year-old labrador, if treated
properly, is not likely to be aggressive.

But you never know.

There's been a number of these stories of late. Cats and kittens in
particular seem to be considered vermon by some people and some of them
meet gruesome deaths.

In the end, the responsibility does fall on owners to ensure pets are
secured at home, but you can't stop animals escaping once in a while.

I had two dogs that never left their yard but were baited along with
several others in the area.

Now someone that baits a dog should have each body part removed every
hour till they are dead

Dogs suck. I'm glad he kicked it.

That's nuts too. I don't know how that can be, how can someone who is cruel
can get away with a "passive" charge. Kids and animals are similar in many
ways. People who harm and kill them should suffer harsh penalties.

I'm talking about THIS situation, not some hypothetical thing that bears
little relevance. That mauled child might turn out to be a mass murderer
when he grows up, so the dog should be knighted! Stupid argument.

Dogs trust people, they put up with a lot from them (god knows why), and for
this bastard to do what he did, I'd love 10 minutes with him.

and if you care about kids so much, consider this. If he can kick a dog (a
fat, brainless dog like a labrador too) to death, what is he capable of
doing to a kid?

Dogs also bite people. I've been attacked by dogs before, random dogs
who just bolted from somewhere to come and snarl at me because their
stupid cunt owners couldn't keep them tied up or behind a gate.

It's not a pleasant situation, and I'm a big man. If I was a child or
an elderly person, it'd be a lot worse.

LOL what would you do?

Dog was probably attacking him. He only kicked it twice, bad luck for
the dog that it died.

I honestly don't know how anyone can bring themselves to do that to an
animal. It's unbelievable.

Dogs can tell the bad ones, unfortunately for you.

Well, in 10 minutes, hopefully I wouldn't completely kill him. any longer,
and the weak bugger might cark it.

I don't believe this. An attacking dog isn't so vulnerable to a kick, unless
the kicker is very accurate and powerful. I haven't been attacked by many
dogs, and I'm not scared of them, but being able to get two fatal kicks on a
large dog's head is not easy, if it's attacking.

If it's not, yeah, it'd be easy because the dog is not expecting this, it
hopes for a pat, a smile or a scratch. Not to be kicked to death.

The same moronic child fuckers that think cats are vermin.
ANYBODY that harms an animal, cat, dog, horse, sheep, goat whatever,
for nothing more than random acts of senselessness or fun deserves no
positive thoughts or actions at all.

Stop losing your mind. This was a dog on the loose, and it was only
kicked twice. It probably tried to bite him (or DID bite him). Sounds
like self defense, not "fun".

If it did bite him why not come forward and give his side of the story??

I think he is a coward and the longer he leaves coming forward the
harder he is making it on himself

Ten years on it still saddens me when i think of the way they suffered.

One got really sick and they thought it was a flu like illness but she
died two days later, they just thought it was an illness so we left it
at that.

A month later the second one got similar symptoms, we took her to the
vet but she passed during the night, the vet asked if he could do an
autopsy, it showed all of her insides were toxic. The result of some
kind of poison. As we had no poisons laying around the yard and no toxic
plants the conclusion was baiting.

Yes and the dog died.
That Darkie, is the point.

So if I ram someone with my 4wd and they live, that's not as severe as
someone being hit by a motor scooter who falls over, breaks their neck
and dies?

Sounds like an unlucky kick, for the dog anyway. For the man, may have
been lucky, as the dog was probably trying to maul him.

No, of course not.
The dog died = the person died, no matter what the method.

Yes Darkie, all the information points towards the dog mauling him.
Not.
