Who was the commentator that welcomed Melbourne viewers at 5.20pm after we'd
already been watching from 4.30pm?

And was it the same commentator that welcomed Victorian viewers at 5.40pm,
70 minutes after the broadcast was beamed into the Great Southern State?

It was Milton Battaglini IIRC. Hope that helps.

Yeah, that's the one - Ray Warren. He welcomed us after we'd been watching
for 50 minutes. Then he welcomed us again about 5 minutes into the game. I
felt very welcome until Manly slammed the door closed in our faces.

Well, the bright side for me was that after Manly's fourth try I could safely
switch to my usual viewing, The Einstein Factor, knowing the game was a goner.

From the sound of it Manly had their own ground announcer there. He got
excited when they ran out and didn't shut up after they won till when
they left the field.

I bet he woke yesterday with a sore dick, he sounded like he was giving
it a work out after the match while he was screaming down the mic

The game was a goner on the Monday after Melbourne were slammed with
the $50,000 fine. If you were a regular to aus.tv, you would have
known that.

After Melbourne were slammed with the $50,000 fine it was decided by
the club to boycott the grandfinal game. So they came to Sydney and
just went through the motions. As stated earlier, even if Manly put
their under 16's reserve grade team, they still would have won.
