It's nearly as bad as the Manly conspiracy.
I'm not bagging the ref's yet, just commenting that they seem to have
shifted the goalposts on certain types of irritating player behaviour. I'm
not even saying that is a bad thing, I think the refs want to cut out any
dialogue with players other than the captain, that's how it should always

Yeah, although Ennis (or Lockyer to relay to Ennis) did at least get a
warning at the kick-off apparently. I think it is odd if ref's are going to
start trotting around with hit-lists for certain players, what's wrong with
reffing what is in front of them?

I have no problem with referees cracking down on players who step over the
line, but surely EVERY player starts a game with a clean slate, and everyone
should be afforded the same number of warnings. If for example, Ennis did it
twice and got sin binned after the second one, then the same punishment

Here we go again with defending the players and bagging the refs. It's just
human nature to remember things that someone does. It seems it's only OK
for coaches and players to say "this ref is tough on us around the ruck and
should cut us some slack" etc etc, but not OK for refs to identify trouble

Ennis is a Dill, I mean the ref apparently warned him prior to kick-
off that he was marked by officials.
I don't like the sound of that, and I'm surprised no-one picked this
up and ran with it in here; it's clear that officials are targeting
specific players. McKinnon must've been on 'ref-watch' to have copped
