He was arrested this morning and taken to Belmont Police Station where
he's currently assisting police with their inquiries.
The Herald understands that a second man is also being questioned in
relation to the same matter.
Do the residents in Long Bay like fat guys?
Wouldn't have happened if he had his headgear on and trained from 5am
to midnight.
William, you're back!!
A friend that was in the court just said most people when they are given
the facts bitch and say Bullshit, BULLSHIT!!! He said "Oh Shit" when he
realised how many cops had been tagging him and the evidence they had
against him.
Yes an interesting new development in the world of RL. Wicksy boy has really
raised the bar.
This will see pissing, abusing, glassing, hitting, bashing, drinking,
snorting, pooing all relegated
to the second division. Gold Wicksy, just 18 carat mate. How much does this
free up from their
salary cap ? Maybe they could sign Liam Fulton ?
Viper
Interesting another former Newcastle druggy has left the country this
week :D
Crikey! A drug sub-culture at the Knights! Who'd have picked that?
alvey
Signing Liam Fulton would be a backward step, though if that's the aim they
may as well do it properly and sign Robbie Farah instead.

Cheers,
Jeff.
Was he drinking Pura milk at the time?
From the Daily Telegraph :
Police allege they have months of surveillance tapes, phone intercepts and
other evidence showing Wicks doing "hundreds" of drug deals.
Prosecutor Gillian Kelton told the court Wicks had been involved in "clearly
criminal behaviour that is quite entrenched".
Between August and November, investigators allegedly detected Wicks, through
physical surveillance and phone intercepts, supplying amphetamines and
ecstasy pills in both Newcastle and Grafton.
Looks like Wicksey boy is in deep trouble. At least the club had the guts to
stand him down immeadiately
Pity those eternal parasites at Easts haven't found the same courage to
stand down repeat offender Jake Friend. CEO Steve Noyce sounded like a
defence attorney stating the club's usual respone "innocent until proven
guilty"

I guess the wallopers learned a very valuable lesson during the gang
rape investigation involving all those Broncoes players. When they
found cell phone footage that revealed a high profile national
representative snorting substances and turned it over to the Broncoes
club to investigate a whole heap of nothing happened.
This is a real shame, as players using banned drugs may well have
represented Ausfailure whilst ineligible.
Again.
I wonder how many cases there really are of players using banned drugs
that have been covered up by corrupt clubs?
Hundreds? Thousands?
I know that rugby league took a huge hit when An drug Johns boasted
about taking banned drugs for a decade thereby robbing his country of
any glory for those ten years and I'd really hate to see this sort of
thing con-tinue indefinitely.
Clearly Johns boast hasn't resulted in anything like the attention the
NR-Hell needs to give the issue of a huge number of their players
taking banned drugs.
I suppose if the NR-Hell isn't going to do anything about Aussie
players taking banned drugs they really should come out and give the
official OK rather than pretend they are against it.
Brisbane should probably lead the charge and call for it, hopefully
before another player retires and boasts of his long term drug abuse
and how he got away with it.
What do others think?

You're in the Wrong newsgroup
lol

And it now comes out that a Knights staffer was sacked after he went to
the board with concerns about a recreational drug culture at the club.
His words ysterday were "The Burro didn't want to know but maybe now the
media will"
Pass the Knights some powder and a straw I think things could get a
little rocky.
Interesting how quiet Gallop is, normally a player farts in the wrong
direction and he has his head in the media making threats.
Maybe he was also warned of the drugs and chose to ignore it.
Well the game has been covering the Knights recreational drug use
since Andrew Johns. Why stop now?
Gallop reminds me of politicians complaining about the big banks. Talks a
lot tougher than he acts.
I'd bet the NRL does very very little about the Wicks case. If they had
balls they would have already sent their own investigators up to Newcastle
instead of calling for a report about the club, from the club, obviously
driven by the club's own self interest. WTF do the NRL expect it to say?
Oh, no drug culture here LOL!!!
Have you got a link for this?
No as it was said to a friend at Newcastle court house
