Building Your Brain (Repeat)

4.30pm - 5.30pm

Friday, 24 May 2013

Trace our development from birth to adulthood as the human brain is
explored, revealing that it is so sophisticated it takes more than 20
years to mature.

Editors note: Hopefully Gladys can learn why her brain
never matured. :)

I see that 'denigration' is the 'name of the game' in respect of you. Barry,
in this newsgroup. I wonder if you have used your brain for not much more than
denigration of anyone who disagreed with you....is my reaction to your contributions in this group.
And no matter what information is given you your Atheistic brain is programmed
in such a way that it is near night impossible to penetrate it.
"You are nearer God's heart in a garden than anywhere else on earth."
"Poems are made by fools like me, but only God can make a tree."
(I'll have to check the authors of those lines.
Some of our best poets acknowledge God created the nature around them.

But for some reason, which you have not stated in this newsgroup,
you accepted that there was no God.
But Atheists cannot prove that there is no God.
There are those of us who know there is a God
by the way we have been led to do the work we have have done
to bring about better conditions for ourselselves and others.

You must learn to take responsibility for your own actions.
If you won't use a proper newsreader at least have a talk

Yes Gladys?

What about in a dungeon where a child being keep against her will?

I accept there is no god because there is no God.

We can prove there is no good and almighty God.

Some know there is a God by the way they have been led

I recommend Forte Agent. Its a lot easier to use than
Google and you wouldn't have any problems with it.
I am aware that you automatically reject anything I suggest,
such as copy and paste which would allow you to have

How are you going with the David Attenborough programs
on youtube via the link I had made for you? You can't help
but be impressed with the standard of the programs. They
are both entertaining and educational.
Also do a search on youtube for Penn and Teller Bullshit
episodes especially the one about creation. They do an
excellent job of showing creation for the Bullshit it is.

You never did thank me for showing you how you can
watch the excellent and true programs by Sir David
Attenborough without needing a TV. The important
thing is you are enjoying them and discovering how
absurd creation is.
That is thanks enough although I would like to hear
your thoughts about the programs.

Barry, Do you think that God is smarter than humans?
Do you think that you are smarter than God?

As an Atheist who declares that God doesn't exist ....
you do have a lot to post about and against the God of the Bible.

I must say that I am astounded that Atheists can declare that there is no God,
as that is pure arrogance to me.
You would have to be (as has been said by another person)
everywhere at the same time in and out of our Universe and beyond,
(humans still do not know the full extent of all the heavenly bodies in the Universe),
for if you are looking in one place, God could quite easily be in another place.
However, a significant percentage of the population of the world does believe that the God of the Bible does exist and has existed from everlasting
and will exist to everlasting in the future.

The Atheistic's position is untenable, but you are adamant in your opinions.
Is it that you are of the understanding that God did not do the right thing by you?
However, we all have problems to manage in life,
and there are those of us who can say that with God's help
we were able to solve them in whole or in part with the help of others.

Our conversation is not progressing, over a period of aboout ten years you have constantly restated your Atheism; I have constantly restated my Christian faith. I am not giving support to any one denomination of that faith....
I would prefer that all Christians came to agreement as we proclaim our faith in a very different community environment
than when it was first given by Jesus Christ - even the community environment of a few months more than the 225 years
that the Christian faith was first preached in Sydney.

If I give up posting to you it is possible you will do a Hulu dance or other exclaiming, "I've won!"
But I have learnt 'stickability'.
If I do not answer you, I will be in a Nursing-home or in Eternity as promised by Jesus Christ to those whose faith has been placed in Him... John 3 : 16

Anything that exists is smarter than something that does not.
I asked you for a reason.
If God is smarter than a human how do you explain how
God came from nothing?

God does have an excuse.

I think you have learned a few things. Your unwillingness to examine
evidence for evolution tells me you already know evolution is true.

Christianity needs a God to unite it, but since such is not available
you could all unite by everyone openly accepting evolution.
Evolution may be the one thing all religions in all countries agree
is true.

Do you really think you have God fooled? I can see that your faith

I believe you are a post-WW-2 person and that could explain your ideology,

How anyone can say that Evolution (change from one living organism to another living organism) has happened just astounds me. And it is obvious that some persons - such as D.A. - must be making a fortune for publicing the nonsense,

leaving all manipulation of genes out of it, because they are man-made.

However, you accept the implusible idea that

Evolution is happening today.

No human has a completely perfect brain, but that does not mean that all humans 'are screwed up'. It just means that we all have brain function
that is less than perfect. but despite that many can do a very fine job intellectually and morally.

Your debating style is that when you do not win be argument
you use denigration.

If your evolutionary 'mates' had presented their theory to adults, especially to farmers, in the early post WW 2 years they would have, most likely,
been laughed 'out of court' by them because farmers know full-well
that life comes from life, be it animal or plant life.

I did have Psychiatric treatments Electro-Convulsive Shock Treatments
in 1950 - the treatments were given without anaesthetic - a most traumenatic experience, and that after the Psychiatrist had assessed me as 'mature beyond my years, and left me to make my own recovery from the effects of Amnesia, (from a birth I was not expected to survive) Anaemia, and Rheumatic Fever....
and trying to manage a Kindergarten pupil who was later placed in an institution for uncontrollable children - possibly the mother had been trying to follow the Psychologists who in the post-war years stated that physical punishment of children caused them to grow up to be immature, and seeing her son enjoying throwing his blocks about, did not realise he would be in his element at school with many building blocks available.
If he survived he would now be about 68 years of age.

And let me add that years later I learnt that two years after the Psychiatrist had treated me he changed over to Forensic Psychiatry and later began media presentations. He died in 1979.

By that time I had set out my KNACK of Living programme and had begun my own
recovery programme, and haven't had cause to see a Psychiatrist since...
and if prevention programme had been known in my teacher training, as teachers were prone to what were then termed Nervous Breakdowns - possibly the more conscientious teachers, i may have been able to avoid the situation I came to experience. So, please, Barry, stop your nonsense.

Evolution is all about life coming from life. However, it is
reasonable to assume that there was not always life, so
first life must have come from non-life.

Farmers would laugh at the idea of a magical creator
being which came from nothing.
How many times are you going to repeat that nonsense?
So God gave you a hard life and now you hate everybody.
It was a sad story when it first came out but now it is just
boring!

At least I can understand how you came to be caught up
in the creationist cult. They prey on people at their lowest
ebb like you were. They pretend to be your friend when
noone else wanted to know you.

Now it is time to come out of the darkness.
Science has the truth and is honest enough to say when
it does not yet have an answer. Can you be that honest?

Barry, You do not want God in your thinking, in your life.
You prefer to believee that :-
Nobody made something out of nothing millions of years ago ....
or a philosophy akin to it.

And you are in agreement with those who would impose those ideas on children, even as has been done in the post WW-2 years,
without the parents knowledge and consent.
That was not moral responsibility - it was sheer indoctrination.

I have no choice.

So something as powerful as a human brain requires a creator but
the far more powerful creator came from nothing?

GotQuestions.org have a special section to indoctrinate children
without asking their parents.

The idea that we can shed our responsibility by having someone
killed is morally repugnant.
