I just heard a claim on the radio that during the construction of the Eastern Suburbs
railway in Sydney, an underground station was constructed but never used in Randwick. The
caller claimed it is opposite the Randwick Labor Club.

Can anyone confirm this?

As far as I'm aware no construction was ever carried out. Some land was purchased and maybe even cleared, but all that has since been sold off.

The obvious question is where is the other end of the tunnel?

Given that Bondi Junction was extended for a turnback within living memory, it
is unlikely to be the other end of the Randwick tunnel.

Also there would be a big hole or big park or big building over the top of such
a station, and I cannot suggest where it might be.

Did the caller give other clues such as little green men?
