There's Fletcher Jones.....David Jones.......Alan Jones
I didnt know Alan had a clothing store out :)
Nah, He wouldnt rate in my top 5.....from what I've heard, he's in the same
section as Neil Mitchell I reckon
Except that Faine's first name is Jon.

more of John Kerr!
Talent...Zemanek...sorry they don't go together.

Rex Hunt's talkback caller before the first Wizard Cup game, was a little
girl who wanted to talk about fish...I know Rex's other hobby is fishing,
but the following is something you wouldnt expect with 30mins before the
first bounce
CALLER: "I caught a fish today"
HUNT: "Where did you catch it?"
CALLER: "Im my backyard"
HUNT: "Well, isnt that nice...."
then Hunt goes on about people catching fish in their own backyard, of
Australia. though Delroy has his moments also, but for some odd reason, I
havent listened to him lately, or as much as I had been in previous years.
There's always something else on
****Keith McGowan.....?????? Oh dear.
Alan Jones 2GB
Kane Bond 2CC
Richard Perno mrr network show
Mike Jeffrys 2CC
Steve Block 2AY
Mike Cooper 3BA
* Brian Wilshire - 2GB
* Glenn Wheeler - former 2GB
* Murray Wilton - 2GB
* Neil Mitchell - 3AW
* John Laws - 2UE
Not to mention the late great John Pierce (2GB) who was the very best.
Isn't that 6??? lol
I take it that you're also a 2CC listener :)
For me:
1. Mike Jeffreys 2CC
2. John Kerr 2UE
3. John Laws 2UE
4. John Stanley 2UE
5. Ray Hadley 2GB
Obviously being a Canberran I don't get a chance to hear Ray Hadley's
morning show, but his Continuous Call Team is the best sport broadcast
in Australian media.
If I may, I would like to also give mention to my other favourites who
just didn't fit into my top five (I'll throw them in as joint 6th)
Mike Welsh 2CC
Rex Hunt 3AW
Alex Sloan 666 ABC Canberra
George Gibson 2UE
Stuart Bocking (Lawsie's co-driver) 2UE
and I can't leave out George Moore & Paul B. Kidd (Weekend afternoons
2UE), I'm not a fan of George filling in for Laws, but with Paul it's a
great team.
Can I throw in a favourite newsreader...I didn't hear a "no", so here
goes...
Jessica Vanderant (2CC/2CA), best newsreader 2CC have ever had, anybody
care to elaborate on the correct spelling...hopefully Sydney won't
steal this newsreader, they took our James Goodwin (Now 2UE) and our
Aela Callen (Now Channel 7 reporter)...they better not take our Jess!!!
Samuel
Interestingly, Ron Burke is taking over at weekends while Keith McGowan is
away on leave and Alan is doing weekdays.
Adam Joseph has been the main fill in on overnights in recent years. He is
also good!
Paul in Melbourne
2 Tony Delroy (ABC)
3 Mike Carlton (2UE)
4 Virginia Trioli (3LO)
5 Headly Gritter (3RRR's Party Show)
btw - Bob Curtis (5AA) would be good if he didn't sware so much. It's
so prolific that it's distracting.
Worst: Keith McGowen (3AW)

Norman Banks - bit right wing for me...by god he used to make Latrobe St
shake
Ormsby Wilkins - as I recall first man in radio to earn $800 a week.
Now there was a feller in Sydney...and unfortunately his name escapes
me...at 2GB...mid 70's... bugger these senior moments.

I'd rate Richard Glover the highest for the genuine interest he shows
towards his callers - he's always willing to dig a little deeper in to their
story.
Although James Valentine doesn't really do open talkback, his style is very
good & he doesn't let things drag on.
I admire Peter Bosley (& whoever his sidekick is on any given night) from
Sports Today on 2UE - they show patience above & beyond the call of duty
with some of their callers. I don't know if anyone knows Tony's Talkback
from the old days of the Coodabeen Champions, but if you do, think Lance
from Lara & Wal from Warranwood at least 5 times in an hour.
Lawsy's endurance has to put him up there. Gloria doesn't do it for me &
unfortunately I only have limited experience of presenters outside of NSW.
