R & D Grants are crap

topping up the company with money, but when it comes to helping
companies with the R & D grant it takes 6 months to prepare the
application and then it rests with idiots who know nothing about the
applications they assess.
You even match dollar for dollar of your own money and apply for a
grant you have no chance of getting

What is really shameful is the amount of money spent on R&D for
government and university research organisations that never amount to
any commercial success. The Money might as well be flushed down the
toilet.

Been there, done that. I and some associates wanted a mere few hundred
thousand to work on a idea we had, state and federal goverments were
not interested. If I was a transnational company with headquarters in
some Carribean tax haven the same fat cats would be throwing money at
me.
