I think he sense he did not have the numbers. I think Simon Crean advised
Juliar Gillard to call for the ballot in the interest of the Labor party
because he knew too that Kevin did not have the numbers. There is a need to
stop the bickering. Kevin Rudd I think will come back after the election and
Juliar Gillard may just bow out for him later.

After the election the new leader of the opposition, whether Garrett
or Shorten, will banish both Gillard and Rudd to the back benches.

Wrong. We haven't seen the last of Rudd yet. He's going to hang around lot
longer. And perhaps Crean too. Crean always had leadership ambition.

That's a silly conspiracy theory. Crean gambled with stupid calculations and
lost. He is not that smart.
He just wanted to have a go at being deputy and then leader before he needs
a stick to walk around. Plain and simple.

No. He thought that it wasn't too late to save the Labor party.

Now follows others who tried - McClelland, Tanner.

Hope you're happy with the unions choice - nearly a million more people
unemployed and miners divesting all over the country.

Labor factional war is at it's wits end. I think they are digging their own
graves with their teeth.
Rudd now says he will never lead the labor party under any circumstances.
What's best for labor party?! That's a tough question.

Have you ever known ANYONE in a Job where everybody around you hates
them, yet they still work there and say it's great place to work.
If it was me, I'd hand my resignation and go work for the Liberal Party.
How the hell this inept bunch of A-Holes got to be in Government is
beyond me, Oh that's right, the Majority of Australia did NOT vote for them.

All he has to do is sit back and wait for the Party to come begging
for him to be Leader. The Polls are not going to get any better for
Gillard, the question is how late in the Game can they pull the ol'
switcheroo again. I think she's going to get thrashed in her own of
Lalor.

But the ONLY thing that matters is what's best the Labor Party, not
Australia.

Agreed.

The faceless morons need to be taught a lesson that the leader is
ultimately chosen by the people.

But he didn't say that he wouldn't be leader of *any* party.
