Hi All,

Can anyone give me any recommendations for picture framing supplies in
Brisbane at reasonable prices ?

Preferably on the northside.

Thanks in advance,

Adam

Depends whether you want raw frame stock...or someone to supply frames, or
do the whole framing job.
I have used Abel Framing in Baxter St in the Valley for years, just off
StPauls Tce.
They do all my mounting, laminating and framing and I highly recommend them.
Their phone no is 3252 4133, talk to John who owns the place, tell him I
sent you and he will bend over backward to look after you.

Probably not the cheapest in town, but quality and service is ezceptional.
I know they do framing for a lot of professional photographers as well as
myself.

Yep, have to agree, I used to work for a pro lab in brissy doing all the
mounting and finishing, we brought all our wood frames and glass from Abel.
As for how cheap they are, they are pretty competitive, and the quality is
excellent. If my memory serves me correctly, I think we brought our raw
Aluminum frame from Hughes Moldings, but I'm not positive about that.

Thanks for that ...

I have been in to Abel and am getting a matboard cut to size.

I guess my original question should have been a bit more specific.
I am also after a supplier for DIY frames. Eg, mat board cutters,
v-nailers etc as well as frame mouldings and glass.
