rust in tank ?

this has probably been asked before BUT i have a steel fuel tank with
numeous internal rust spots. can anyone suggest what the best method of
killing the rust and protecting the tank is ?

The right paint , several industrial coatings or if not bad rinse with
phosphoric acid and then run a liner kit through it

Not the only solution and imho there are better paints and coatings ,
there is a kit as mentioned called "tank liner" which is very reasonably
priced and places an effective well sealed coating inside the tank , not
por by name

Don't just seal it without preparation or you are just wasting your
time. I recommend a kit with several products for different stages of prep.

(sorry to mention por 15 again but they seem to have a lot of experience
in this area. There are similar kits here in Aus.)
