Air horns on bicycles have what exactly to do with a motorcycle
newsgroup, George?

But I will agree that Peter is free to bring us news of this sort.

You (and maybe even Peter) seem to fail to realise that I was induging
in a bit TIC humour of the ultra dry type. As I am often wont to do.

I notice your idiot mate was quick to join you in your ranting.

Have you gotten in touch with the RAE Vietnam Association yet?

As requested, quoted verbatim. You always seem to "forget" when it
suits you. :-)

He had snuck up to within eight metres of me (the jungle's a bit like
that, you know...) and fired a magazine-and-a-half of AK47 ammo at me
before I managed to hose him away with my M60. He died fighting for
his country's indpendence right there and then because he was a rotten
shot and I, unbeknownst to him, had been certified as Best GPMG Shot
in my platoon at Infantry Centre. Upon coming home, I was freqeuntly
looked up to as some kind of hero by gilded youths (and blathering
idiotic wannabes like your bum-buddy, George W. Frost) whose brains
had been befuddled by our war mongering national rhetoric, especially
the shit spoken on Anzac days and every time an American leader is in
town. I too might have felt some pride had I been more thoroughly
brainwashed.

But I digress...

The point I'm trying to make, Peter, is that people have indeed tried
shooting me. And failed. Most of them died in the attempt.

Fancy your chances, Peter?

OK, now I know what we're referring to, try this on for size: The
above incident happened was in 1969. My anti-war stance did not begin
till about 1995.

George is trying to compare apples and oranges I'm afraid. Also,
nowhere did I say, as George claimed, that I was "so happy when I shot

is not bragging about your conquests and bragging is feeling happy with
yourself

your idea of happy is quite different to thousands of others.

The term being "happy", "glad" , "enthralled", or other words depicting an
attitude of someone
can all be bundled together to mean happy
no matter which word you or anyone else uses.

You went on to say that you were adored and looked up to as a gold plated
hero by young kids on the block
But,
there is that but, Gerry.
I did not at any time whatsoever
"look up to you as a hero"
your words, not mine:
>I was freqeuntly
>looked up to as some kind of hero by gilded youths (and blathering
>idiotic wannabes like your bum-buddy, George W. Frost)

Wake up to yourself Gerry, you are not that popular,
you are a legend in your own lunch-box.
You may be good at copy and paste
but you are not as good or intelligent as you think
Even when you get caught out, you pass it off as being
"Not my words" or "That's not what I said"

Which bit, George?

The bit where I point out that the poor prick I killed never had a
chance because I had a more powerful weapon and had received far
better training than he had? That bit? That wasn't bragging, that was
me highlighting the unfair advantage I had over the poor guy being
murdered by me.

Or did you mean the bit which you distorted with your "creative"
omissions? Here, I'll reprint that bit for you with ALL of the
relevant bit you deleted put back in again:

"Upon coming home, I was freqeuntly looked up to as some kind of hero

George W. Frost) whose brains had been befuddled by our war mongering
national rhetoric, especially the shit spoken on Anzac days and every

Read it carefully George. That's not me bragging, that's me pointing
out that only a brainwashed idiot would have thought that I was a
hero.

As usual, your cognitive skills were out to lunch.

You are truly an idiot George.

You seemed to me to be bragging that you killed him. The way you
described, "I managed to hose him away with my M60", sounds to me like
you enjoyed it. Did you? Or were you just bragging again?

I can only base my question(s) on what you posted, I am not a mind
reader. Nevertheless, why did you allow him to fire all those bullets
at you from such a short distance? Why did you not "'neutralize" him
when he was changing magazines? Two simple questions!

Again, I can only comment on what you have posted, not what actually
happened. From what you have posted....Yes, I believe you are
bullshitting and bragging.

George is a fraud. He knows he's a fraud.

I have given enough information here to verify who I am and that I
"served" (I call it murdered) in Vietnam.

You're a ring-in hiding behind a pseudonym whose sole purpose so far

Given the choice, George is the one I would believe, unless of course
you can come up with some evidence that he is a fraud.

I'm not interested in who you are in RL, or your service in Vietnam. I
asked you a few simple questions regarding the incident where you,
"hosed him away because he was a rotten shot".

I am beginning to think that particular incident never took place, and
it's all a figment of your imagination, so that you can brag about it
to all your mates.

you, "hosed him away because he was a rotten shot".

[sigh] I will explain:

When you used the line "Do you always use profanities when you
disagree with someone?" you were using a cheap rhetorical stunt called
a loaded question.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loaded_question

A famous loaded questions is "Are you still beating your wife?"

Gerry responded to your loaded question with an another loaded
question, i.e. "Are still sodomising little boys?"

And now you call that verbal abuse. So, it seems that you don't mind
verbally abusing Gerry, but when you're on the receving end, you cry
"foul".

Interesting.

I'm not sure why you got involved in this discussion between Gerry and
me. Why is it that you feel you have to answer for him? Is Gerry
incapable of answering my questions? He has avoided my initial three
simple questions, perhaps you can answer them for him........

1. Why did you let him fire a magazine-and-half of AK47 ammo at you,
from eight metres, before returning fire?

2. Why did you not engage him when he was changing magazines?

Ah, that's easy to explain.

A while ago, due to the activities of idiotic Usenet user in a
newsgroup far, far away, Gerry decided to use the pseudonym Sigmund_F
as a way of facilititating continued dialogue with idiots who generate
crap which is likely to cause both Sigmund_F and said idiots to be
killfiled by more sane readers.

Think of the pseudonym Sigmund_F as a convenience tool. It alllows
discerning readers of this newsgroup to identify threads which they
may wish to skip in the interests of sanity.

Given your behaviour, Gerry thought it best to let Sigmund_F deal with
you whilst he continues to chat amicably with the saner people in this
newsgroup.

Gerry doesn't have to prove anything, you disingenuous fuckwit. As
Gerry has already stated, that was a very abbreviated account of what
happened. If you knew the longer version, or the number of 'contacts'
that he was involved in, then you would begin to understand. Gerry
hated war as only a soldier who has lived it can, only as one who has
seen its brutality, its futility and stupidity.

Now fuck and shove all your ad hominem up your arse.

In your dreams, but... consider the following:

[1] You get basic facts about Vietnam 1962/63 horribly wrong time
and time again. Facts which no Vietnam veteran who was there from
1962 to 1963 would have gotten wrong.

[2] When challenged, you hide behind your pseudonym and offer no
evidence whatsover supporting your claim to have been there from March
1962 to 1963 as part of a RAE Detatchment.

[3] None of the Army history about Vietnam which I have read (and I
have several authoritative books on the subject) records any RAE
Detatchment being in Vietnam from March1962 to 1963, yet such an event
would have huge historical significance since it would invalidate the
claim by the AATTV, which did not arrive there till August 1962, that
it was the first Australian unit in Vietnam.

[4] The RAE Vietnam Association apparently has no knowledge of any
RAE Detatchment being in Vietnam 1962/62.

[5] The book "No Need for Heroes", written by Major Sandy
MacGregor, the OC of 3 Field Troop, RAE, makes the claim (which
reverberates right through the Australian Army's offical Vietnam War
history) that his unit (sent as a support element to 1RAR in 1965)
was the first RAE unit which served in South Vietnam.

[6] Having been informed (by me) that the Army's official history is
unaware of your RAE Detatchement's tour of duty in Vietnam, you
inexplicably show no interest whatsoever in writing to either the
Australian War Memorial, or to your buddies in the RAE Vietnam
Association, to get this important historical fact recognised.

[7] Nor have any of the other phantom members of that phantom RAE
Detatchment apparently felt the need to have their tour of duty
recognised by Australia's military historians.

Admit it, George, you were never there.

I'm more convinced now, then ever before, that the incident concerning
the shooting of the guy never took place, because every time I ask you
a couple of questions about it, you resort to verbal abuse and
profanities.

You are avoiding those questions like the plague, come on,
SigmundGerry, what's your problem, why won't you answer my questions?

Time to hit the sack now, speak to you tomorrow.

G'night

So this is Sigmund_F aka Walt aka Peter aka Dallas aka keyboard warrior aka
Gerry Binder having a go at George for being fraudulent.

I find your choice of language offensive and it truely shows you have not
really grown as a person as much as you feel and claim.

My observation is we seem to have the same argument going both ways, but
only one person really gives a toss. ;-)

I have a cure for mental health!
I would like to call it the "tap on the chin" approach.
I have seen this tested many times with great succsess.
Gerry, I would be happy to offer my assistance if you would like to give it
a go!

With love.

BTW Gerry. Maybe it would help if you looked up the term Sheep-Dipped.

The usual sore-loser crap by MartyH, whose IQ has yet to reach tripe
digits.

Marty, if people left because they don't know how to skip threads (or
individuals) which they don't like (or disgree with), then that is
just the Usenet gene pool doing a bit of housekeeping.

Are you still going down on Knobdribble?

Were you capable of nuanced reading, Peter, you weold have realised
that the message you were responding to was _not_ written by my
alterego Sigmund_F, but a rather poor forgery.

So, if you find it offensive, why don't you unmask the forger adn have
a go at him/her. It has nothing whatsoever to do with me.

Another not-so-subtle offer of violence as a way or resolving

You have a psychopath's concept of love, Peter Tippett.

Incognito in order to maintain plausable deniablility? How is that
relevant to this thread, Peter Tippett?

OMG. According to SigmundGerry, there are THREE people impersonating
him. Interesting..... three impostors impersonating another impostor.

Apparently, SigmundGerry will do anything to avoid answering my
questions.

SigmundGerry you have me confused. Please indicate clearly which
message you are referring to. I do wish you had stuck to using one
pseudonym.

I've been a lurker here for some time. I saw your "request".....

"I have no fucking idea what you're talking about. Perhaps if you
quoted me verbatim I'd be able to respond".

.......And I simply provided you with your request.

ShyBiker, I have seen some of his posts here, but Basil Brush?? Who is
Basil Brush? I don't see any of his posts here. I thought he was a
pommie glove puppet.

According to GerrySigmund, there is a forger impersonating one of his
pseudonyms. In other words, an impostor impersonating another
impostor.

My view on all this is, SigmundGerry is calling a double bluff. I've
had a look at the headers, and while not an expert on the matter, they
seem the same to me.

SigmundGerry states, "but a rather poor forgery". Perhaps then, as he
appears to be an expert on the matter, would he point out to us why he
thinks it's a poor forgery.....with facts, not his suppositions.

Gerry the idiot was hiding under the stove in the kitchen he worked in.
AK-47 - Superior Weapon over the M-60???? That right there shows
Gerry the idiot has no idea about weapons.

Gerry .... it's 05:18:00 ZULU. You are awake and just answered one of
my posts. Tell us quick -- the 3 common problems that cause an M-60 to
jam and how to clear the jam... Quick now... no Googling. You are
such an expert you know this surely.

Nah --- It seems gerry doesn't know the difference between an automatic
weapon and a light machinegun. The M-60 will chew the jungle down and
keep chewing. It doesn't surprise me gerry doesn't know the difference.
The guy with the AK-47, or I should say AKM, wouldn't stand a chance.

I was meaning more like (say) in a tunnel or something. Granted, neither weapon would be as effective as a pistol (or even a sharp pointy stick), but I expect that the more compact weapon would be at least *slightly* more useful.

You would think so but think about it. 8 meters away and the NVA Head
Cook emptied 2 mags at Genius Gerry. More than 60 rounds. Take 8 giant
steps. That's how far he said he was. Even genius gerry should have
changed that story. A guy like gerry in my unit, making some stupid
braggart claims, telling everyone "look at me" .... every real soldier
listening would have blown him off. gerry thought he had an audience
that would worship him and all his heroics.

gerry is a liar.
