Crash Barriers - want to help?

The Australian standard for crash barriers is about to go out for
public comment.

Who wishes to spend time and effort on making solid informed comments
about the standard from the motorcyclist's point of view?

Won't be enough to say "ick, don't like it", have to be able to give
coherent reasons why something is bad. If you think you can read a
standard and work out what it is on about, and see where the problems
lie then let me know and I'll arrange for you to get a copy and work
with others doing the same thing.

if you just post the link here when the DR is available, I can download
it myself.

Not released yet.

I've passed your name onto Brian Wood who is co-ordinating things. I
expect we'll get back to you when the draft is released and hook you
up with the others who are looking at it so you can all discuss it.

Are you still using your gmail address? I sent contact details
there. I have been leafing through AS/NZS 3845:1999 over the last
couple of days anyway. I'd be interested to get involved.

I'm in the middle of writing up Standard Operating Procedures and
dissecting various publications at present, so my head is probably in
the right space. I'm heading off on two weeks leave tomorrow, and
hopefully won't be near a computer for the duration, so feel free to
email it to the above address (with suitable substitutions) and I'll get
stuck into it on my return.

What's the deadline for comments?
