When I was a kid I had a poster that was a promo for "Golden Bread"
clothing ,it was called "Ride On" and was a surealistic view of a
motorcycle rideing along a 'hanging' road ,the riders head was shaped
like an Amal carby with cable comeing out of the top of it (which
evolved into being the road as I remember) ,can anyone remember this
poster? ,I'ed like to find a scan of it on the net but don't know who
the artist was ,I think he did a series of them for Golden Breed.

I still got some hanging in the garage..... 74-77 & 79.. My old man used to
race in them so he kept those he went in ...'78 he had a busted shoulder
hence no poster.

In 1980 they used a Pic of a bloke named Jon Behrens from Central MCC on the
poster instead of the artist.

The Artists name is Peter Ledger.... Whatever happened to him I don't know
but I'm sure someone somewhere will know..

Cheers

Ihad the skatingboarding poster shown shown on one of those pages, and one
other. Treasued them until the moths and silverfish and time had destroyed
them well and truly beyond salvage. They are the only childhood pin-ups I
miss. He was a genius.

I liked "Ride On" best ,but one of the others wasn't bad either ,it was
of a guy on a surfboard surfing in a surelistic seascape with planets
diping out of the horizon ,can't remember the other two that I had ,he
was a great artist.

As I remember got my 4 from a clothing store that my father was
renovating ,wish I'ed had taken more than one of each(I could have had
50 ,they had stacks of them).

My origonal "Dark Star" comic book went the same way as the posters
,sigh
