PROTESTING pensioners have stripped off and blocked central Melbourne
in protest at being ignored in the Federal Budget.
Thousands of elderly citizens crammed the steps in front of the
Flinders St Railway Station to push their message to the Rudd
Government.
At one point the protesters brought traffic to a halt as they took
their protest, which started just after 11am, into the centre of one
of Melbourne's busiest intersections, the Herald Sun reported.
Family First senator Steve Fielding also joined a sea of elderly woman
wearing only their bras, stripping his shirt off in the process.
Protest organiser Shirley Grant, 72, said she had been overwhelmed by
the turnout but was now considering taking her message direct to
Sydney and Canberra.
“I don’t believe all this, I think I’m having a dream," Ms Grant said.
Police officers blushed as partly-clad elderly women danced around
them.
By midday, most of the protesters had put their clothes back on and
were letting traffic flow freely.

FlangesBum and Fag's Nads don't care about "Silly old buggers".
They're on the dole, so they're covered!
The pensioners should be delighted that they're contributing to Labour's
goal of lower inflation. They should be more concerned about another 3 years
of Fielding. Yesterday he was wheeling around dunny paper.

After 10 years of being ignored by Howard, naturally they
are impatient for change. But at least now they are free
to protest without the fear that the tories might illegally
detain or deport them.
The smart money is on pensioners being well recompensed from the
complete review specially ordered by the ALP.
Lets see what comes of that, while the tory inflation demon is being
defeated.
Inflation is a terrible blight on those who receive low and fixed
incomes, especially when the regressive GST adds to the burden.
I'm sure everyonewill join me in putting pressure on the ALP to
make sure tax reform includes the regressive GST, in their second
term, so they can continue their run of PROMISES KEPT.. such a
refreshing change from the previous liars and war criminals.
