I have just realized how effective plonk files are.
I just opened aus.legal in eternal sept etc that I have no filters on,
and downloaded the last 2000.there was only one months worth. 99%
rubbish, hardly any legitimate .legal posts, mostly political or Muslim
stuff.

filter out there is one that limits posts to 2 x-posts before they're filtered.
Newsproxy is an excellent tool for use with Agent or any other newsreader.
That and filtering on the header, References: googlegroups works a beauty too.
And of course, filtering out the rabid one also cuts out a lot of rubbish. But
not those who reply to him unfortunately. That requires a special one which also
kills some legitimate posts.

as I discovered when I opened aus.legal unfiltered as an experiment.
Some seem to be creeping back in so I will have to add some more.
