Subject: Alan Bond New Ventures
What does anyone know about Alan Bond's new ventures? I have heard of
two - Lesotho Diamond Corporation with Michael Smith and Madagascar Oil
with Sam Malin. I have also hear that there is a gold venture. What's
Bond's role? Is this a comeback?

I heard and read that Bondy is making a "comeback". Him and his son
Craig are both involved, Alan being a "consultant" and Craig being on
the board of both Lesotho Diamond Corporation and Madagascar Oil. The
diamond company is developing a diamond mine in Lesotho and the oil
company is developing onshore oil fields in Madagascar where apparently
there are billions of barrels of oil. I don't know about a gold venture.
Anyway I think Michael Smith is a partner of Alan Bond and a Director of
Lesotho Diamonds and Sam Malin partners with Bond on the oil side as CEO
of Madagascar Oil. Another person involved is Robert Nelson who is
Chairman of Madagascar Oil. I do not know whether these projects will
lead to a new fortune for Bond but I have heard that both companies
will list in London next year. Watch this space I guess.
