Just did a quick search for such a beast and basically came up with
nothing. I'm looking to 'upgrade' my aging 5.1 AV receiver, mainly for
the HDMI inputs. I know I could buy an add-on HDMI switch but I want
to declutter and simplify things... and have no wish for yet another

DHT preamp

Hi chaps It's been a bit quiet recently... I've decided to dust off the old soldering iron and build a new preamp (linestage only). My 6SN7 linestage is sounding a bit long in the tooth. As I don't do "sand", the new preamp MUST be tube. Maybe something like a DHT (directly heated triode) would deliver the goods.... more »

I have a question about surround sound as I'm interested in getting one. I have a large 3 year old Sony Bravia, a Foxtel IQ and an LG DVD recorder.
