Really, why not in the post where you put the link?
Oh, you leapt before you looked... LOL!

The board can easily produce 9 independent mixes, but only one of them is controlled by the main set of faders.
IOW, other 8 mixes are by design, pretty much static. We are reserving the very few unused resources of that sort for a higher priority purpose - more monitor mixes.

By your standard, I looked before I leapt. However, to answer your question, I preferred to drop some hints about the recording than to post a link outright. Take comfort that everyone hanging on your every word meant no one was interested in investigating.

I assume there's no practical place for a pair of room mics that would give a pleasing result.

Wow. You get a lot out of a link posted without commentary. Too bad I responded respectfully to your other post, but with your wont for non-delusional slidings of the truth I should have known better.

Ripping off the classics has always been a mainstay of pop music, Neil diamond ripped Mozart off, Tom Springfield ripped Beethoven's ninth for the Seekers' "Take me to the emerald city", and who could forget the efforts of B. Bumble and the Stingers ("Bumble Boogie" ripped from "Flight of the Bumble Bee", "Nut Rocker" ripped from "March of the Wooden Soldiers" from the Nutcracker Suite and "Apple Knocker", based on Rossini's William Tell Overture). The list just goes on and on.

Did that kid achieve the standard for making a recording that you propose for Iain?

Perhaps using your childishly insane low bar for "proof", GOIA.
There are but few options here, GOIA: you either believe that your recordings are "not as good", "as good" or "better" (forgetting for the moment such qualifiers as "LoT"S", "much" and so forth) than Jenn's and JA's.
There's one problem here, GOIA: you aren't willing to have any of your work available for examination, and you yourself have admitted that your recordings suck.
Therefore, we can state that your recordings are not as good as JA's and Jenn's.
Now that we have that out of the way you can always dispute that, but you'll have to submit your proof for it to be considered.
Game, set, match. You lose.
Please do not attempt to use reasoning or simple logic on Arny - it really is a total waste of time.
> > will you still try to call her a "liar" at every turn?

What insane reasoning. LOL!
Ah! Now you get it :-))
No, GOIA, what I think is that Jenn has never lied here. What I do know is that, regardless of this truth, you call her a liar. Isn't that crazy? (Rhetorical question: of course it is!)
There are some simple tests for lying. Does the person say what they are going to do and then actually does what they said and are the stories consistent and in the realms of believability? Finnaly does the person back up any claims with some outside source.
Your insanity is obviously getting worse, GOIA.
I bet Arny will convince himself that the padded cell he is put in is really an anechoic chamber purposely built for his new recording studio :-))

So you really are an amateur hobbyist then? So you have "lied" about being a professional?
Oh and before you state that you have charged money for a studio recording you will be more than happy to post an evaluation of that then?
> Secondly I believe that people divide professionals from > hobbyists in a given endeavor based on whether or not > they derive income from that endeavor.
As does the rest of the world.

So why did you do so, Mr.Krueger?
> I'm happy to call myself a live sound volunteer for a > charitable organization, and nothing more.
Okay, but why the wasted Usent bandwidth where you _do_ characterize yourself as "professional and object to others pointing out exactly what you now admit, that you have never earned money in that role? Let alone the fact that your recordings have never been commercially released.

I am sorry, Mr. Krueger. This response doesn't make any sense. How can having sound reinforcement speakers operating while you are recording a choir result in "personalized" degradation of sound quality?

Yet you repeatedly referred to these recordings on r.a.p. as evidence for you being a "professional" recording engineer and you vigorously objected to others pointing out that as you didn't earn any money from making these recordings, you were _not_ a professional, something you now say you believe to be true.

But earlier in your posting, Mr. Krueger, you yourself defined a "professional" as "people divide professionals from hobbyists in a given endeavor based on whether or not they derive income from that endeavor." As you don't derive any income from your recording activities, as you make them as part of your volunteering to manage the FoH sound at your church, your repeated claims that you are "a professional recording engineer" are false and your must be, by your definition, a "hobbyist."
Not that there's anything wrong with that of course. It's just that it's completely at odds with your earlier claims to be a "professional."

I have no problem with anyone criticizing my work, Mr. Krueger, and have never said otherwise. With all due respect, _you_ are the one who does not seem to be able to take such criticism, who has fabricated a plethora of phoney excuses as to why no-one else can be allowed to judge your work.

And I am looking forward to you sending me the promised CD-R, Mr. Krueger. Please note that I am sending you examples of my commercial work tomorrow with _no_ conditions "set down" (though, of course, I am not expecting you to comment publicly on them until you have set me _your_ recordings).

Too late Iain, I've already been labelled ;-)
BTW can you (or anyone) imagine the shame *if* Arny actually said you told the truth and praised your efforts in some way? You would really have to do some careful self evaluation wouldn't you? :-))

Nope. A tour through the Google archives reveals just how many people you have called liars. The total went up considerably this week when you added a few thousand engineers.

OK, so now that I've added "It's my fault!" to the three words nobody would ever expect you to utter, we can now begin trying to understand why it is impossible for you to say them.
I suspect you had a domineering parent who probably beat you as a child. You learned to deny responsibility as a self-preservation tactic.
The next question is which parent. Usually one might suspect the father. In your case, though, other evidence (your fear of Jenn, for example) leads me to believe the domineering parent who beat you was your mother. Your father was probably a Caspar Milquetoast type.
His three favorite words were probably "You're right, dear!" That would likely be because he secretly wanted to beat you too, but he was as afraid of your mother as you were.
