that the state has appointed judges like Deborah Sweeney who value
life so little, passing disgracefully weak sentences that put violent
animals like Tevi Koloamatangi back on the street in a few years.
This hero got it spot on ... Judge Sweeney, like many of her legal
industry counterparts, no doubt residing in some well-to-do north
shore safe-haven, is completely out of touch with the society she
should be helping to protect (but completely in touch with the morally

Asserting the judge's sentencing is out-of-touch with community
standards is not likely to lead to a contempt charge. Journalists
make this sort of claim all the time.
However, it would not surprise me in the least if the legal industry,
so dependent on repeat business, were to push for mandatory sentences
for contempt, but not for violent crimes such as rape, assault, and
murder.
