If there was previous discussion of this movie, I wasn't here to see it, and
apologies if necessary.

My wife & I thought Heath Ledger was very good, but that the movie itself
was terrible.
What are/were the views of others?

imdb gives it 9.2/10 stars!
So it looks like we might be in a minority.

Best comic adaptation ever IMHO.

Many thanks for your reply, Ian.
Where is everyone else?
As I more or less said in the "[snip]", imdb rated it highly.

Unfortunately this newsgroup like aus.tv is largely dead.

I enjoyed it. It was a little disjointed... I always said that Batman
Begins was 3 films pushed into one, and now I think The Dark Knight
was 2 pushed into one.

As such there was a little too much story and the classic three act
structure was usurped... however, I don't mind seeing some
"experimentation" in a blockbuster.

Full of dickheads IMO.

I liked The Dark Knight... thought it was better than Batman Begins.. more
colourful characters and less of CG climactic ending.

I saw it at IMAX, and must say I found it very enjoyable. Better than
Batman Begins in my view, but I have to agree that it was disjointed.
Two-Face seemed to have been shoe-horned in, and the ending seemed
interminable. If they'd cut it down by about 30 minutes it would have
been an excellent movie.

Tom.
