  mate of mine is moving house on friday so informed Telstra according for disconnect and reconnect then. so today looses his ADSL [non-Bigpond] by telstra mistake and to have the mistake fixed now want $140 for a re-connect. amazing !

Windows Product code/activation 
  Is the windows XP product code/activation number unique to each CD? (I'm guessing not) For example what I need to know is.. could I use my Windows XP disk to install/re-install XP onto a friends PC, who doesn't have the original disk, but has the product code/activation number, and then use that number to activate it, without causing any conflict with... more »

Problems upgrading to Windows Vista

Difference between Seagate 1 TB external hard drives 
  OfficeWorks have the Seagate 1 TB external drive at $129 and looking at them I noticed that they had two lots of stock on the shelves in two different boxes - which was probably old and current stock. The new stock supports up to and including Windows 7, however the earlier box does not list this O/S.... more »

Slow file transfer W7 
  When I transfer files using W7 OS it seems to clogg up and becomes very slow in those transfers. Say from thumb drive/memory card to C:. small files of 5Mb . seems to have a very slow transfer rare with anything over 100/200Mb plus total. mobile broadband 
  I do some travel in the bush. Because it is not continuous, I prefer to prepay my mobile internet. In every trip, I tend to use quite a bit. Now I am with Telstra mobile. I have no complaints about the service and/or the coverage, but I do find it expensive. It costs me between $60-$100 for each trip. Toshiba Laptop L500 
  I received a Toshiba Laptop L500 for Christmas with Windows 7 as the OS. I find that on many web sites I am unable to click on a link to get to another screen.
