IE10 is being offered to W7 users any thoughts on how "good" it is or how it
performs?

Still got some real advantages over the obvious alternatives like chrome and
firefox.

And some downsides compared with them too.

Better than IE9 IMO.

It's every bit as "good" as all previous IE offerings. M$ lost the plot with
IE about two weeks after they acquired Spyglass Software.

Keep in mind that just as always, anything which fucks up in IE will also
fuck your Windows Explorer up.

Yep. That's the usual formula with IE Win explorer.

Nope.

Nope. When IE9 does fuck up now, it doesnt affect Explorer.

You can't test it with XP, it refuses to install on XP.

There are too many websites that don't work in Firefox or Konqueror
under linux, thus I still have one Windows PC so I can use IE.
Of course I don't use IE for internet banking or anything critical.

And still some things that the alternatives can't do too.

> thus I still have one Windows PC so I can use IE.

I use both it and Chrome for different things.

Chrome remembers the zoom by domain but wont
let you specify the zoom numerically, IE does. That's
very desirable with the pages I have loaded all the
time for the met stuff particularly.

> Of course I don't use IE for internet banking or anything critical.

I do for all of that and have never lost a cent at all, ever.

I think IE latest versions are fairly safe.

I'm still uncertain about Opera. I found it super fast, then not quite sure
with it's security reliability. I had my email account hacked into twice.
Not sure, whether Opera is to be blamed.
I reckon the speed comes at a cost?!

I've removed chrome because it's complete and utter spyware
Google are like most run by idiots and suddenly hand out private info
to people you don't want to see it (Facebook do this also)
Chrome insists on secretly starting with computer google I don't trust
IE too many sites won't work properly with it
I use fire fox latest version but it also is not without problems

I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left

More fool you.

Just another of your pathetic little drug crazed rabid fantasys.

Hasn't ever happened to any of my private info.

Hasn't ever happened to any of my private info,
because they don't get any of that at all to hand out.

Trivial to stop it doing that if you are that mindlessly paranoid.

Because you are mindlessly paranoid.

Fuck all in fact.

Like being a steaming turd.

You're a Yahoo user; your choice of mail service provider is to blame, not
your choice of browser.

Don't just take my word for it though; have a thorough read:

Leave Yahoo to the Nigerians; they're the only ones who deserve it.

Hey Bob,
Yeah, I think you're spot on. I opened a photobucket account to share
some photos and then stupidly used my usual yahoo mail account to login
there to upload photos. A really stupid move which I don't do at all but
lost concentration for a second.
Next day my account was hacked into and I found it's done by a troll in
Turkey.
It's my choice of mail account combined with my stupidity as well. It's no
rocket science to collect passwords in plain text using phisihing sites.
I should know it better, when I day dream in front of the PC.

Yes. I believe they also deserve to ben in WW2 concentration camps for
their number of online dating scams.
Fair number of people here have been learning lessons of life for having
hots for a hot black guy or a hot black girl.
Nigerian dating scammers know pretty well, how to exploit the inter-racial
sexual attraction while giving away AIDS free of charge.
