Who could have predicted this, Microsoft's Windoze 7 has a major flaw
if somebody sends you a dodgy Netbios packet, It just locks Up.
Ideal, if it's used as Prison Guards.

Incidentally, there was a similar bug in WinXP and was later fixed.

As an end user, how do you know if this occurs?

Two rules for success: 1. Don't tell everything you know.

I get Computer News from ZDNet.
But can be verified by several other news sources as well.

I don't think that's what the question meant.

I took it to mean that if your Win 7 locks up, how do you know whether a
dodgy Netbios packet caused it.

Well you don't know if it's Netbois or another Win7 Feature. And Vista
users should be used to it locking up. But who needs another reason for
your computer to lockup.

That's fair enough. But I asked how does the end user detect this particular
problem? ie. diagnose it as such if or when your computer locks up?
