For such small numbers have you ever thought of printing your own?

Good supply of business card 'blanks' at Office Works.

undoubtedly http://www.vistaprint.com if you don't mind the 2-week
delivery. Been using them for years. The free ones have a small 'ad"
on the back that says something like "Free business card from
VistaPrint", or you can upgrade to the next level and avoid that.

Shitloads cheaper than anything from here in Oz. They also have a
suave but cheap metal card-holder-case thingo which we also use.

Agreed.

Why do you need "blanks"? All you need is your choice of heavyweight paper
and a guillotine.

What I meant to say but didn't is that you can purchase multiple business
cards pre-laid out on A4 paper with many colours & designs on them and
download free software to over print your own details on them. Geocities I
think is the brand name.

Guillotine not needed as they are pre-punched around the edges. Print and
separate.

Sure, but you can just as easily print the lot in one go. And plenty of
graphic software available with no limitations on available designs.

A guillotine gives a clean cut edge rather than crappy perforated edges.
And the paper is cheaper, and/or a far better choice of surface finishes.

As always, you get to make your own choice. I know what mine is.

And a straight through paper path and a printer that will grip and feed
the paper you want. BTDT.

Just how thick do you need your business cards?
I've never owned a printer that can't manage normal thickness cards. (I
guess there might be some)
Any thicker and you can't carry them in your wallet!
