Thanks for the advice Ron,

Thanks Mick,

Makes me glad I spec'd a Hayman-Reese 2-part towbar when I ordered the
car!!

It's got tow hooks, but you're right, in the segment I've bought into,
there's a few "soft" 4WD's that don't have adequate hooks. (I bought
a Grand Vitara 4-door)

Now there's a good idea
clog up the water jackets in the engine with cooked egg

I don't think I'll be doing that
my Turbo is water cooled and has very small water tubing

A $0.70 plastic bottle of pepper (or a few packets from Maca's) for the
radiator works great for most leaks.
Dead giveaway when you go to buy a car is to smell the radiator.

Get a radiator leak at Crystal Creek and you may find yourself
reconsidering.
(or do you usually take a spare radiator along with you when going
bush?).

The very reason I never go off road alone
being stuck out in the middle of no where with a stuffed radiator AND a
stuffed turbo doesn't sound that appealing

you remove the radiator
get in the other vehicle and drive to somewhere and have it repaired
