Newnes to Mt Dawson caves -- advice

Colleagues, I am investigating doing the Newnes to Mt Dawson caves two
day walk (Walk No. 43 in Bushwalks in the Sydney Region, Vol 1, 6th
Ed, p 76) but am wondering why the 7km per day trip is rated as Hard.
Any suggestions?
Is the navigation difficult? (We will have a basic garmin e-trex and

Anyway, I've found a good way to keep cool. I stick frozen peas up me bum. Cools you right down, then in the morning can eat mushy peas.

Does anyone know of a book of australian (or QLD) birds that has colour pics of nestlings and fledglings? Most seem to have only adult birds.
