I couldn't find any info on Whites here, what happenned? Great photos on
that site though.

There was a fire in White's River Hut in July 2010.
The hut was extensively damaged, but the hut has had a lot of repair
work over the summer of 2010-11. I was there last month and the interior
of the hut looked new, although the fireplace was blocked off,
presumably for final repairs next Summer.
