I wanted to reach through the screen, grab him by the collar and give him a
good, hard slap. I can't believe there could still be someone in the world,
American or otherwise, who would still think it's ok to text while driving,
whether or not it's law or not in their particular corner of the planet.

Go and stand next to any intersection or road where cars are being
driven slowly enough that you can see what's going on in them. Count
how many drivers you see texting or on the phone in 30 minutes (it
helps if it's a busy road ... :) )
Your belief system requires calibration, unfortunately.
Kew junction.. from any direction... They've outsourced speed camera
operators.. how about outsourcing someone to police/fine 'occupied'
drivers? They'd only have to work 15 mins a day to cover a weeks
wage!
I think flyingdutch mentioned a while back a city bike courier used to
piff 20c coins at drivers on the phone... bring that in as a standard I
say! They're all too busy on their phones to know whats hit them.. (or
smashed that side window with a good shot) ;)

In the name of more piffing ( I've always believed there's no such
thing as too much piffing) could the same also be done by motorists /
peds at cyclists who don't obey road rules? Lets use the piffing of
20c coins to reduce the anarchy on our roads!!
Brendo
Sure. I won't be in the firing line. :)

What's "piff"? Throw, flick, slingshot, or something else?
urbandictionary.com wasn't helpful.

As a former premier of the sunshine state used to say "if you fly with
