Can I nominate this for come-back of the week?
Theo
Sure... and can I nominate you for arsehole of the week?

Loved it. Well done, and thanks.
I especially enjoyed watching the star (planet?) sinking in the west...

Way cool!.
:-P
WTF's wrong with Satriani ? I Thought it was a decent choice, esp given
the length. Nice work tho Marty, kudos.
Noice.
You even kept rolling late enough for me to turn up.

Very Cool Marty!

Better than Joe Satriani playing "Day at the Beach"? I disagree, it's
been a favourite of mine for many, many years.
Thanks for the video Marty, I *was* wondering why you'd abandoned your
camera way over there. ;-)
BTH
Yep, magic!
betty
Phillip Glass? the visuals were awesome, felt like I was there again!

Camera is a Canon 400d on a tripod connected to a Remote timer
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=120396082812
Photos where taken at 5 sec intervals, stutter speed started at 1 to 2
sec but ended as high as 30sec in the darker scenes, this video had
about 1050 photos in it.
Post processing was done using Adobe Lightroom to colour and exposure
correct, done via batch (edit one frame, apply to all others)
then put together in Adobe Premier Pro, one pic per 2 frames with a 1
frame dissolve transition between pics to smooth it out.
Music, yup, picked because of length more than anything, a big bonus
that George disliked it thou :)
I am a massive Satch fan and his work seems to turn up as the
soundtrack in most of my time lapses.
Its still a massive experiment for me, cant wait to turn out stuff
like this

(veiw in HD and full screen, look out for 5:50 to about 6:10 for wow
factor)

that was The Forgotten Part 1(part 2 is one of my all time favs)
Day of the Beach I used here

How sad of you,
I would have arrived, but I didn't want to take all the trophys
I would have taken the longest distance ( from Perth )
The oldest rider
Oldest bike
oldest combined rider and bike
best drinker
most sober after a night on the turps
most elaborate sleeping quarters
etc. etc. etc.
Trophy for biggest wanker.

Ahh, jealousy is a curse....................
But for the next one, I might take along one of these for the best seating
arrangement
I'm having disturbing mental images of what that trophy might look
like...
BTH
In frosty's case, the long distance award could be used as a
multi-purpose trophy...
Bill :)
Then you can hand it to me personally
You have to earn it first.

Touche! Well done, sir! ;-)

So how did you keep the shutter going?
remote or did you sit there snapping each frame under continuous shooting?
The remote is programmable, you set the time between shots and let it
go, you can delay the shooting or just use as a remote release..
Quite a nifty tool
Mh
Got a linky for the remote?
Sounds like something I wanna waste some money on
are you blind as well as ugly??
