Both inevitable, I am going to the east coast of the US for work in a
few weeks, and I decided that while there I'd slip over to London for a
few days. I've got plenty of FF points to do it, but it was a bit of a
shock to get the bill for taxes and charges (the FF points don't cover
them) - $574!
Jeeze, it isn't that long ago that you would pay less than that for the
whole fare.

Considering that fares are cheaper from NY to Syd if bought in the US.
