What sort of paint is best if you just want to project direct onto the
wall???

I friend told me today there is actually special paint for this available
(probably overseas).

Matt white usually. No gloss or you will see a hot spot in the middle of
the image. A light grey produces a more vivd colour at the expense of
slight decrees in brightness but well worth it. How grey? Enought to see
it in general lite room I would suggest (anyone ever tried this with
results?). One day I will give it a go.

However you must use a pure white and grey it with black tint only, not
blue/purple or some other tints used to creat fancy store bought greys.

Cheers

Thanks for the reply. I am going to make a Screen myself to prevent
painting the wall.

The grey seems to be the all the go and will give it a try.

Again,

Thanks

I use a grey screen myself. It is surprising how dark grey is tolerable
before brightness becomes a problem. My projector is only 450 lumens also.

This is right on the money, just grab a 1L tin of matt white and tint it
with a sample pot of matt black.

Experiment with different shades. I tried a couple different shades
before settling on an 'ideal' shade for my projector.

Rick.
