If you come out tomorrow or Thursday night we'd be glad to show you some stuff.  I have an extra ski pole you can have for $5 and I'll give you a head for free.  You could also swing by loose nuts cycles and pick up an eighth inch head for $15 or so and it might be quicker to install.  I also have an extra mallet you can use.  Can't wait to meet the actual Scotty Dee!

If you can't get a handle on this there are plenty of other respectable positions. Take dress design: You get wall to wall carpeting and get to be surrounded by beautiful models ALL DAY LONG!!! Why are we doing this?! just to wear a hard hat and get on the night shift?!!!! (sigh) Oh well we're committed now.

I'm interested in playing as well. I've been getting your emails for
a while but haven't made it out there yet. I've only played once, out
West.
When and where do y'all meet? I have a beater bike, haven't switched
brake cables yet, but it will suffice. I do not have a mallet. I may
bring a friend who has the same equipment as me. Do you have enough
extra mallets?
