So many and so much to be thankful for.

Maple Leaps had a great time in Cornwall PEI, 2 teams, 12 dogs, 7 people and we got along with a little help from our friends.

What a great place to hang out with friends, lots of people sitting outside enjoying the sunny days, fun hanging out at the motel last night with lots of laughs.

As always FnF had everything ship shape. Morris and I got there around 7 p.m. (I think) everything was set up and spotless, only Forrest there working hard to get the sound system all tuned up. That didn’t look like much fun…

Lots of fun racing that went to 5 heats, love the close racing in all divisions. Morris & George running start dogs to see who could get the best start times, laughs and teasing.

Now I am leading up to “MY” highlight of the whole week end. Saturday Division 1 going to 5 heats wins by 2/10th’s of seconds. Red lites, flags, re-runs on both sides Carl is judging, one side, 1 finger, 2 fingers, 3 fingers both hands, 2 fingers 3 fingers, 1 finger I cannot remember, I don’t know BUT to be a judge in that division you all have my greatest respect, everything moving so fast. I still don’t know how he ever did it. That was the most exciting judging I have EVER seen. Cy did a shorter version on Sunday and all I can say is amazing. Hope/wish someone has video taped it.

Congratulations to our dogs.

I was presented with Sweep’s Iron Dog award, I treasure this award above all her others. I am one of the lucky ones that had her flyball partner racing with her for 10 years. There are many, many more Iron Dogs out there that give it their all and didn’t make the 10 consecutive years. Sweep didn’t get much more than 40,000 points she ran many races, many heats and help season many dogs just starting. I couldn’t have been blessed with a better flyball partner…

Thank you FnF , see you all in July.

Maple Leaps :o)

Hi just want to say congrats to everyone who has recieved the Iron Dog title.  We lost Shilo in March and it was so nice for Mireille to bring hers to Halifax while she was down last week! Thanks to everyone over the years who made this possible.  Perhaps see you in Lunenburg for a day so I can get one for Nitrous :)

So sorry to hear Shilo has passed. She was a great girl so kind and gentle.

Glad Sweep and I had the privilege of running with you gals now and then.
