If you are interested in volunteering for classroom visits as a neuroscientist volunteer, fill out the online form here. The Atlanta-based Center for Behavioral Neuroscience also sponsors an annual Brains Rule! Neuroscience Exposition. In partnership with Zoo Atlanta, CBN reaches thousands during the spring Exposition, the largest public education event of its type in the country. We have many resources available for teachers and volunteers to communicate information about the brain to K-12 students here . Other Brain Awareness related events include: BRAIN Program in the summer for college students ION Program in the summer for high school students Summer Brain Camp for middle schoolers Teacher Professional Development Workshops
We want your lesson plans and activity ideas! We are making an effort in the Atlanta Brain Awareness community to create a database of successful and creative lessons and activities that volunteers and teachers have used with K-12 students to teach about the brain.
