THROWBACK ALERT -
This thread is where the project started more than 2 years ago. In case any of you wondered what happened... Our original developer was hired as a result of that thread.
Now for the opportunity:
FishList is going live with a redesign of
app.fishlist.com on Sunday. I've been working on it for awhile now and think that having a fresh set of eyes on the code before the production push would be smart.
I am looking for a senior-level LAMP developer who is interested in doing a code review and recommending/implementing some optimization for both the code and server.
If the following tasks get you excited, and you would enjoy doing some coding this weekend, please contact me.
-Organizing a messy javascript library using backbone or equivalent framework.
-Refactoring PHP in a Codeignitor-ish web app.
-Security & Performance review of a CentOS LAMP server hosted on Rackspace Cloud.
-Ensuring Memcached / APC are working properly and that best practices are being followed for caching app resources and MYSQL queries.
In a nutshell, I need someone with 3+ years of full-time LAMP experience who intimately knows MVC architecture, is knowledgeable about the current trends in javascript, and is OCD about refactoring their code. Experience with Sphinx Search is a plus.
I am located in Sandy Springs and would prefer to do at least some of the work together. However, I am not opposed to doing everything remotely. Compensation TBD.
Have a great weekend and thanks for taking a second to read this.
