Well, if finally had some time to download
my flights and submit them to the Leonardo (paraglidingforum) WEB site.
Statistics:
7 days out of 7 of amazing flying.
622.7 km in 7 flights.
28 hours and 7 minutes in 11 flights.
Climbed out on 7 out of 11 tows.
Could probably have climbed out on 2 out of
the other 4 but didn’t want to drift outside the field.
Did goal 4 out of 6 days. One of the days
we did not, it was 103 miles away…
Lots of Cummies every day starting at
around 10 AM until 5/6 PM.
Cloudbase at around 2.000/2.200 meters
every day.
Winds on the ground at launch between 0 and
10 mph, mostly South to ESE.
Winds aloft between 0 and 15 mph mostly
from ESE through South to WSW.
Winds at LZ’s between 0 and 12 mph ESE
through South to WSW.
The see-breeze from the West coast kicked
in 2 out of 7 days after 5 PM.
Climb rates of 5 m/s were usual on most
flights during most of the flight.
I enjoyed:
Flying with Othmar the day before the comp.
Arriving to the lakes area everyday we went
North.
Flying the convergence at the 3rd
TP on day 3.
Flying with Bubba and Nathan on day 4.
Landing right next to the Sunset Grille on
the beach at Jackson
Lake on day 5 and getting
some good food.
Flying with Augusto on day 6.
Watching Nathan’s reaction when he
runs out of gas on the HWY J
I could write a long story about every
flight, but most of you would fall a sleep before the end of this email.
I could not have planned better flying
vacations!!!
Thanks a lot to everybody that helped
making it happen!!!
You can check the flights on this links. There
are also some good pictures on most of them.
