Position Objective:

This position will provide technical support, development for operations support, consultation and oversight for all systems related to production applications.  This includes a variety of complex administrative and technical work in managing databases, ETL processes, troubleshooting, and system management.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

1.    Design, development and testing of system enhancements to ensure business requirements are met.

2.    Assists in database design, programming, troubleshooting and management of problems affecting IT and enterprise database applications, as well as developing the area for future expansion.

3.    Interact with business owners and gather requirements.

4.    Translate business requirements into technical requirements.

5.    Assist with designs and development of ETL process.

6.    Design, developer, monitor, and maintain key data feeds with PCNA, Vendors and Porsche affiliates

7.    Maintains customer focus; increase IT customer satisfaction with business users.

 

Decision Making:

Position is required to make decisions that relate to day to day system support activities.  This will include solution details, timing and escalation of issues.   All decisions related to critical processes that have a direct impact on business units or have a financial consequence are reviewed and approved by the manager of IT Strategic Initiatives

 

Qualifications:

Education:  College degree in Computer Technology, MIS, or Computer Science; or the equivalent education or experience.

 

Experience

(Job and Industry):

 

q 5+ years of Senior DBA experience with MS SQL Server (2000 - 2008R2)

q Systems lifecycle experience with analysis, design, and development
