I saw this on another NG and thought that others might enjoy it here.

To those who would help
The ruler of men
By means of the Way:

Let him not with his militant might
Try to conquer the world;
This tactic is like to recoil.
For where armies have marched,
There do briars spring up;
Where great hosts are impressed,
Years of hunger and evil ensue.

The good man's purpose once attained,
He stops at that;
He will not press for victory.
His point once made, he does not boast,
Or celebrate the goal he gained,
Or proudly indicate the spoils.
He won the day because he must:
But not by force or violence.

That things with age decline in strength,
You well may say, suits not the Way;
And not to suit the Way is early death.
--Tao Te Ching.

You two just must know each other.

Tell me how you met, I love a good story.

Tell me both sides.

Y(not?)Iselin is the only filter I've applied since Lloyd left. I'll have
to remember not to open Ken's replies to himself (the way it shows up with
JYI removed from my system)...

I guess I'll have to do that too. It would be easier though if Ken
would just stop replying to the guy.

Well it looks for now as if the cretin has laid off. And I still had
about 15 stanzas of the Tao Te Ching yet to go.

Skip,

Been admiring the photos of your Morgan on the web; she's a fine looking
craft! For years I had visions of a center cockpit Out Island 41 as the
perfect home away from home... moved from Denver to West Palm as the
first part of that plan. Alas, it never came about.

My parents spent years beating around in an old Columbia 26 and I sailed
the boat all over Long Island Sound, the east coast of Florida and a
couple of crossings to the Bahamas. Not much of a sea boat, but if you
picked your weather you could make a fair passage without too much
trouble.

Good luck with the refit and fair winds.

Eric
