Homeowner's Insurance recommendation

I just got my homeowners insurance policy renewal and they jacked the
premium 20%. Been in my house over 20 years, same company (State Farm) never
made a claim-- and my agent made some smart ass remark when I called to ask
him about it and pissed me off so I'm going to shop around for new coverage.

Any recommendations for a good agent/carrier? I'm looking for your basic
broad form coverage- nothing special or exotic to insure.

Wait till the spring and a good thunderstorm, make a claim that you were
hit by lightning, get you a couple new wide screen TV's, DVD players and
cordless phones and then ditch the insurance. Fuck'em like they fuck you.

State Farm is the WORST for ALL kinds of insurance (we had a quite long
thread on State Farm last year here.)

I can also recommned my insurance agent Jon C. Cone (Allstate---Hammond
Drive.) I have my auto insured with them---great service and prices! And
I am sure when hubby and I are ready to buy a home, we will insure with
Allstate too.
