Police say 30-year-old Texas nurse Verna McClain admitted she
shot a young mother and abducted her newborn in a Houston suburb
on April 17, 2012. McClain is charged with capital murder in the
shooting death of Kala Marie Golden in Spring, Texas. Witnesses
say McClain repeatedly shot Golden and drove away with her 3-day-
old son, Keegan Schuchardt. The baby was found unharmed hours
later with McClain's sister.
