if I remember correctly al-qaeda has destroyed more buildings connected to islam than any other delusion. for example in iraq, the graves of muhammad's grand sons and son in law were blown up. in pakistan's north western frontier many of the shrines have been completely obliterated and worshippers there torn into pieces. I have personally seen flesh of muslims hanging from a tree in karachi after an alqaeda suicide bombing! now that is religion in action against another religion - now is the attacker islam or the victim? who knows?

signatures to qualify for a November ballot vote to create an

When I was visiting my son, I had the pleasure of visiting the WTC. It was amazing.

My only regret was not going with everyone up to the Windows of the World restaurant and seeing the view.

My feet were swollen and hurting from all the walking we were doing so I waited on a bench in the plaza while my son, daughter and their friends went up.

My mother and I were planning to drive down on September 15 for a visit.

Naturally that visit never happened.

There is no way in the world a guy could hop into the pilot's seat of

I suspect the last plane was headed to Building 7. There is no reason
to suspect it was headed to the White House. But because it was said
it was, people believe it. It distracts from the fact that Building 7
collapsed in the same controlled fashion as the two towers.

TSA let them board without ID? I guess they were desperate for
passengers as each plane involved only had about a quarter of the
capacity full. So many sketchy coincidences yet somehow it all led up
to the greatest crime ever perpetrated. If Atta hadn't been able to
board the plane that morning all those years of careful planning and
training would have been for naught. Of course, on the other hand, the

To start my reasoning - here's a pic of a common flight path from BOS-ORD



And here is the "official" flight pattern of Flight 93:



It wouldn't be unusual for a Chicago flight to be on that path below Cleveland depending on weather and air traffic.  What I'd REALLY like to see are the radar images from the Oberlin Control Center.  At the time of it's turning around it would have been in Oberlin's district.  But anyway....

Approximately 20 minutes prior to Flight 93's "crash" - my bf witnessed 4 fighter jets fly by his window at work.  According to him, these jets were "booking"....they weren't just randomly scrambling around the Cleveland air space - they had a destination.  When the news broke about Flight 93 crashing - we had no doubts in our minds that those fighter's shot down the plane.   The timing is about right - it's about 115 miles to Pittsburgh from here and Shanksville is another 80 miles for 195 miles.  That's road mileage and it's likely a bit less in air miles.  The average cruising speed of a jet is approx. 550 mph or 9.16 miles per minute.  9.16 mpm x 20 minutes = 183.2 miles.  Close enough for me to be certain.

Now we go back to what I said about the Oberlin Control Center.  There are (and have been since 9/11) reports that Flight 93 landed at the NASA Lewis Reasearch Center (since renamed to NASA Glenn Res. Ctr) and was offloaded.   Whether or not this is true - no one seems to have been able to find out.  My own memory is that local media did report of a possible hijacked plane on the ground at Cleveland-Hopkins Int'l airport.   The official story now goes that it was Delta Flight 1989 and it wasn't a suspected hijack but a suspected bomb aboard, so it was stationed at Hopkins but as far from the terminal as possible.   But there are still a lot of reports out there acknowledging that the Delta flight was there BUT that there was also a 2nd plane that landed on the NASA runway.  Honestly - my brain keeps niggling that the official version isn't quite right....but I don't know why.

 The truth would be easy enough to see if Oberlin's records were released along with Hopkins tower records.  To date, I have not seen records from either location - only the "official" FAA version of events.  (If anyone finds them - I'd love a link!!) For those who may not know - an airport is generally responsible for flights below 10,000 feet within their air space.  Regional control centers (like Oberlin) are in control of flights over 10,000 feet within their region.  I can't remember where Oberlin picks up but I do know that they cover from part of PA over to just past Chicago.  Flight 93 would have been all theirs for at least an hour and Hopkins would have handled it if it went under 10,000 feet.  Once it turned around it could have also wound up on Pittsburgh's airport radars and my even have blipped on Columbus's for a bit.  For more about this controversy - just google it up.  You'll likely have to start at the conspiracy websites and then look for links to the actual local news outlets.  I was watching mainly WEWS that day - so maybe a search of www.newsnet5.com would turn up something.  Other local stations are WKYC, WOIO and WJW.  (WJW and WOIO switched network affiliations - but I can't remember when.  Today WJW is Fox and WOIO is CBS....but they may have been the opposite back then - so their archives may not be very useful.  :o\)

The only alternative to my theory that Flight 93 was heading to Chicago, is the possibility it was heading toward downtown Cleveland and even less likely, to Detroit.  But to the White House?  Absolutely not.

The other mystery we've had is trying to figure out where the fighter jets were deployed from....not that that's important.  I'm just curious where the base would be to the east of us.  *shrug*

OH....nearly forgot to mention some info on the NASA center that you won't find online.  In 1978, we had a NASA guy come in to talk to our English class.  We'd been reading Alas, Babylon and he was brought in to talk about SAC (Strategic Air Command).   He was very blunt and up front that yes, Cleveland was still listed as one of the top 10 bombing targets.  Not something anyone would tell a group of 12 year olds today!   But more importantly - he totally described the SAC under our local NASA center. o.O  According to him the SAC complex is large and if one was alert, they could actually find clues to it's existance by exploring "the valley" (part of our local MetroParks system).  I've never found the evidence...but I haven't really hiked much around that area. I've never doubted it's there though.   I mention this only because it makes it seem a lot less strange that a "mystery" plane would be landed and deplaned at our itty bitty NASA center that seems to always survive budget cuts - supposedly because it has this really cool hole where they can do gravity/anti-gravity stuff.   o.O

I trust that neither if those two buildings would collapse if struck
by air planes. Skyscrapers are designed to not collapse. Which is why
I suspect the target was Building 7. Three airplanes, three collapsed
buildings. Buildings much closer to the towers than Building 7
suffered much greater damage by falling debris and fire but did not
collapse. Building 7 was built entirely different than the towers but
collapsed in the same fashion because it was subjected to the same
forces as the towers. Those forces were caused by controlled
demolition, not by airplanes. Only controlled demolition can bring
down such massive structures.

I saw it on TV too. We both did. I thought the planes brought down the
towers also until I saw Building 7 collapse later that day. I knew the
planes had nothing to do with it's collapse and knew the building
couldn't be rigged for demolition in such a short time. Since then
I've learned that airplanes or fires or both have never brought down
skyscrapers and the chance that the first, second and third time it
ever should happen to occur on the same day is astronomical. If that
third airplane would have hit Building 7 before it collapsed I would
be more likely to agree with you that the airplanes did it but as it
is I saw a building collapse in the same fashion as the other two
without being struck by a plane. You saw it too.

In addition, the point I was making was that the luggage didn't get on the plane.

This could have occurred for a number of reasons the most obvious one being that there wasn't room and they were going to put it on another plane which is often done.

The plane doesn't have to have been fully booked for this problem to occur except in the minds of those who have a vested interest in concocting a conspiracy theory.

I was gonna look it up. I should have. At any rate, how could they
board the planes if their IDs were in the luggage? Why would they
leave their ID in the luggage if it would jeopardize their chance of

knives, same as now. How could the safe guard policies break down four
times on the same day and allow such a tragedy to occur?

Yeah, I realize that lunatic fringe will always be well represented .
I don't really mind when they're spouting off about Alien Autopsies,
flying saucers hidden by the USAF, radio transmitters in their molars,

On that terrible day I was supposed to go update my Pentagon access
badge. I had gotten to work just before 6:00 AM, and hit the gym.
Showered and went to my office and started the day catching up on the
usual paperwork, emails and phone calls. About 8:30 I grabbed coffee
and some breakfast with a coworker. Went back to my office to leave a
note for my boss that I was going to the Pentagon Pass & ID Office and
was going to grab the 0915 bus. As I was writing him a note, he came
back and said we were needed at a 0900 staff meeting. I figured I'd
go to the Pentagon at lunch time. Didn't quite work out that way.

I beg to differ - what is criminal is that so many are willing to sit back and believe the 9/11 report when even the people who put it together say that's it's wrong and that the investigation was stonewalled and blocked by the administration.  It's not only just criminal - but I would say that it's a high crime.  

If those of us that you want to label criminal are finally able to force a REAL investigation - I would bet that when the REAL truth is told... not only do we have high crimes and misdemeanors but full out treason. 

I'm constantly appalled by the fact that being labelled a "truther" is a bad thing.  Since when is wanting TRUTH and JUSTICE wrong?????  The world watch 9/11 happen live with their own eyes - and how can they be so blind now?  The government has painted us a picture that does not match what we witnessed - and people just accept that? 

If 9/11 is too emotional for you (and I can respect that because I still have a hard time with it sometimes) - then look at Hurricane Katrina for proof of how the government and media rewrite history.  Look at how many people actually believe that Katrina caused the flooding.  Fact is - the flooding didn't even start until the hurricane was long gone.  It wasn't the hurricane - it was the substandard condition of the levees.  The levees had been leaking for years and several of the districts had flooding problems any time they got more than a few inches of rain.  Again it's a case of it being easier for people to accept the spoonfed rewritten version of things than to stand up and publicly say...to use the vernacular of the week "You Lie!" 

(and yes....the democrat born and bred actually applauds Rep. Wilson for his calling out of the President - and I'm just as appalled by the people who think he was horrid and should be impeached.  But sadly, I'm not surprised by the reaction.)

It's the weird infections, skin and lung, that concern me most, although the PTSD (if that's what it is) is getting worse not better.
